Got my black unit from the IT show today. Got a free mobile charger from the Sony promoter. But I got a question, it seems like the flap cover for the microsd card does not seem to close properly? It's not as flushed to the sides as compared to the cover of the other ports. Is my unit faulty, or all are like that?

Mine too, think it should be by-design. Unless both ours are faulty

Wa got directly from Sony means 998? No leh mine is flushed like the other ports

This is the pic I took in daytime... Look at the jeans color.. Seems unnatural as if photoshopped... Same effect for superior auto n normal mode...

Perhaps need to adjust iso or hdr?

Nope, I got it from starhub, but there was a Sony promoter there giving some freebies. Yours is exactly the same as other ports?

I was playing around with the setting this afternoon. Unless I see wrongly if not turning on HDR seems to activate the noise reduction. Maybe try the same scene but this time with HDR on to double check my theory?

Its impt that the ports are all fully sealed and flushed. Thats the main factor of the water resistance feature

oh urs from starhub? singtel promoter gave thumbdrive and the guidebook and 2 lanyard and some pen.. anyway i got the NFC speakers from Singtel. really cost $160? i got no use for it.. selling it away at the bazaar forum

You can press it hard for awhile and keep pressing.... After awhile, it should be flush.... I did that to my SIM card slot and its fine now.

yea mine is also slightly out.

anyway, to all users out there, u all shld check if ur screen edges are rough or not.
run ur finger over the top bottom left and right of the screen edge and see whether its rough or not. if rough ull see bumps. thats what's on mine.

Mine is when u use ur fingers run against the ports, there's no bumps..is like a smooth even surface..u mean yours not?

Did you use the battery guru and turn on the manage WiFi in battery guru?

Or under power management settings, did you turn on location based WiFi?

You can do location based wifi. The moment you reached a known wifi location, it will auto turn on. Once you leave the location, wifi will switch off automatically.

Just turn on Location Based WIFI under Power Management then connect to those WIFI locations and it will auto turn on and off by itself.

Got my XZ purple Yesterday from Starhub:

Ppros:
- Feel solid
- Fast & Smooth (compare to XS)
- Very easy transfer of data and apps using the Backup & Restore (for me)
- Notification Led working normal (miss call, original messaging, handcent)
- Gps / Map location working normal (need to enable Google apps access)
- Wifi working normal (only connected to 1 Singtel router so far)
- OTG working well
- Smaller charger but same output

Cos:
- Slightly dimmer Screen compare to XS at same level of Brightness (85%)
- Softer speaker volume (70%)
- Poorer screen contrast
- No Free SP in box (use to have for X10 & XS)
