Ok thanks! But does it actually make a difference? (tweaking the white balance settings?)

it depends on individual.
like for me i like how the colours already are on the display (especially on the new firmware)

but some ppl feel its a bit warm (yellowish), so they set it to cooler (bluish)

basically that's just what the white balance does, either warmer in colours or cooler, it doesnt change the saturation

You're having a lot of software issues. :s22: You've been flashing mods and custom ROMs and so on?

If you don't plug the phone to the power point, does it enter into a bootloop?

When you're repairing the phone, is it going through bootloop?

Another way would be to flash the latest stock firmware using Flashtool. All user data will be gone.

i never flash any mods or custom roms. i only root the device to use titanium backup & foldermount. if its not plug to power point, it won't go into bootloop. It will only boot till Sony logo then it powers down.

Thanks guys for your help. Managed to put it into flash mode & use sony PC companion to repair firmware. now the phone working fine. those nasty software issues seem to disappear too. But i've lost root access. Anyone can provide a guide to re-root my phone? now on the .253 firmware.

Hi, have a weird problem here.

I usually leave mobile data off, switching on only when there's no free wifi.
But I noticed that I can't get a 'connection' most of the time.
What I observe is although it shows I'm on LTE, but only the arrow for uploading is active (blinking), not the downloading arrow.

My Preferred network mode is set to LTE.

Initially, I reboot to get to it work, but later found a simpler way, that is to change the preferred network mode to 3G and it starts working. Then back to LTE and its working as well.

I haven't really confirm this, but I suspect the connection fails because when my preferred network mode is set to LTE, it seems when there's no LTE in the area, the phone do not know how to down shift to H+ or 3G automatically. Can this be true?

Does anyone here have similar encounters?

I certainly hope the next firmware upgrade fixes this problem, else so inconvenient to turn LTE on.

thanks for the link. Will i still be able to receive OTA updates if i follow this?

I think you won't. Because you'll be flashing a pre-rooted firmware.

If OTA is important to you (and I don't understand why because not all updates will be via OTA), then you'll need to find an old firmware that allows for OTA to 253 only, flash that firmware, root it then update via OTA to 253. Good luck in finding that old firmware.

I found this tutorial to use Flashtool. it has a link to download a 434 stock rom from Singapore in the tutorial. Wonder if this will allow OTA updates. Also i might root on 434 rom & stay on it since it offers better battery life.

Do you mean downgrade to a cheaper plan when you recontract? If you are referring to this then yes, you can do it. But of cause the phone price will be slightly more expensive.

There seem to be a 3G Mobile Data issue with my new Z ( FW 253). Sometime when try to go to a website, it will complain that there is no connection although the 3G/H+ signal appear...sianz. though thing would be better when switch from HTC One X...what the hell..:(
