I almost forgot about dormancy fees for these cards!!note there is dormancy fee if you do not use it too often

nline thingsI've often wondered if its a good idea to use so many cards. I mean of course if a particular card gives some super discount which is far better than any other card, ok lah. But if not, by the time you split your expenses over 5 cards or 10 cards, how much do you charge per card? Is the rebates/points earned even worth anything?
Why not just charge everything to one card then at least you have a larger amount to base the rebates or rewards points on?

there are hidden invisible dark forces ...
Brilliant! It is a good idea to use one card, unless very special promotions are in store for specific cards.
I use FRANK for almost 85% of expenditure, and 15% to posb mastercard for petrol at SPC.
Frankly, it is the powerful OCBC 360 Account that delivers extra 1% pa for spending $400/month on any ocbc cards, punching a "double rebate"
I dropped Citibank smrt card because it wanted to charge me $10 for a replacement card when I reported the magnetic strip/chip was faulty. What a joke. It also gave rebates only with minimum spend.
maybe the new 365 can be a good "all-rounder" card.I've often wondered if its a good idea to use so many cards. but for me my transport, bill payment and most shopping are online spendings which is also about 70% of my spending. But once I hit $500 and no more online spending, subsequent misc retail/overseas spending I use DBS altitude to accumulate non-expiry points/miles.
manhatten for incase big amount spending, posb everyday for sp services, uob one for insurance (minimum tier).
too siong to hold too many cards with "minimum spending".. which is current banks' trend!
true.. will review my expenditure again too. cuz too many cards really aso quite confusing.if you are not super *big* spender ... stick to uob one, maybank plat ... for best rebates
