One Key token low battery

however if battery died after warranty, it costs $15 to replace ...

the mobile OneKey (not mobile SingPass) is being decommissioned as well ...

the alternative to SGX CDP is using paper forms to make changes ... very backward

After getting new token, I set the old token to "Suspended". Then manually link all my accounts one by one. I don't understand why they can't just delink the old token and link the new one like banks.

The battery lasts me 2 years. If I get a new one every 2 years, then I will have 5 suspended tokens 10 years down the road.

Things are going that way. NTUC Income announced that use of the OneKey token will cease by 6 June 2019. SMS OTP instead.

Bad things about tokens.

I don't usually go to the banks cause nowadays most transactions are through atm or internet.

But the bloody token fails you at a time when you need to do an urgent transaction in the wee hours of the morning. There is no warning to tell you when to replace the token.

That's what happened to my posb token. Screen completely blank. Pressed it soft and harder, knocked it, bent it and threw it on the floor … still no display.

Fortunately, posb allows a replacement on the spot during office hours. Otherwise, got to bang table.

My ocbc token also mati and it takes more than a week to get a replacement. Within 3 days, another ocbc token mati and again I had to go to the bank to fill up form and wait for new token. While waiting, nothing can be done through internet

These tokens also causing inconvenience. I got more than 10 bank tokens. Sometimes, key pressing the wrong token until kenna locked out

Mobile apps still need token for certain transactions. So carry more than 10 tokens in your pocket

That's one good thing about UOB Mighty app. The token is fully integrated within the app and not half f**up like DBS or OCBC apps.

I don't expect 100% uptime. If I can use the apps smoothly 98/100 times, it's good enough for me.

You may wish to consider changing over to OneToken instead.

Can't even remember what it is used for. Want to disable the token online also cannot. I just fukit and dump it into the trash.

I think no charge if you go down to the office to replace. That's what I did last year, though my first token was gotten my years back.

DBS mentioned that I still need token for certain transactions like transferring large sum of money

I just dismantled the token. Manage to get the battery out. Will try to buy a new CR2016 battery to see whether it survived my dismantling.
