Thank you for the explanation. I have a oneplus 8T export set with global rom and singpass has not been working due to incompatibility issue since I upgraded to A12. I thought it was because of root but all other apps are working fine.
Do you have any idea if singpass will work with a custom rom instead?
On my poco f3 with custom rom it works fine

Weird, let me troubleshoot Abit.

I also have a 8T china model flashed to global ROM by seller. What is your device model under "about phone" settings menu reflected as?

My singpass works perfectly, infact every other app including bank apps or trace together work without a hitch.

seems like they might be throttling in genshin based on this test from a Malaysian channel? even when the test just started and phone still cold, FPS mostly under 50. and only occasionally see it go 60 for a moment then drop again. Not sure if there are other settings elsewhere to turn that off, or if drop graphics settings can get 60FPS or not. :/

Wtf all that self-hype and they limit gaming frame rate to 60?

Then what about the fluctuating fps for genshin? The only good thing is the thermal control seems to be very good but that's because their software throttle it until it runs like a midranger.

Hopefully is just OnePlus haven't push the latest optimised firmware but this is a bad look out of the box!

OnePlus has always limited frame rate to 60hz.. same as realme and oppo.. but funny they limit it to even lower to 50hz.. isn't the 10t supposed to be performance focused and for optimum gaming experience..

I was trying to set up singpass after the upgrade to A12. It shows "Device may not meet compatibility requirements" during the process. After I confirm all the personal details in the last stage, it shows please try again error (82-t991).
The device model shown in the setting is KB2005. Same in build number and hardware version.
BTW, is your 8T rooted?

Exactly same error as the oneplus 10 pro that oneplus SG send me to troubleshoot. So i guess it only happen after a12 update

And since it happen on Oneplus 8T, means is firmware related issue already

it could be just for genshin only since it's known as one of the more demanding titles? i wouldn't hold my breath at the moment though. the same channel tested the oppo reno8 pro recently and it seems to hover around 50 and below too, even though the dimensity 8100 can do better. my OnePlus Ace with 10R firmware for example will try to run at 60FPS as much as possible and only lowering fps once the phone heats up. So if i drop the graphics and use a simple external cooler, it could actually maintain 60fps. from tests i've seen for the oppo reno8 pro+ (china version of the reno8 pro essentially), the behaviour is to run at 60fps then only throttle when phone heats up too. SO.... perhaps throttling to around 50fps is the way OPPO/OnePlus is doing it for phones in the global market (or maybe just our region)???

this is a bit concerning since if they are doing a hard cap for the game, it means that even if you buy an external cooler or drop the graphics, you still won't be able to run the game at 60FPS... which sort of defeats the purpose of putting in a SD8+G1 IMO. cause if it's just for playing games like COD, PUBG, MOBA games, etc.... chips like sd870, dimensity 8100, can already handle those games just fine... lol. if that's the case, funnily the cheaper OnePlus 10R might actually be better for Genshin than the 10T since I feel like 60FPS in medium graphics, is more enjoyable than highest graphics at 45-50FPS. well, at least until they one day decided to throttle the phone with a software update to keep things consistent. lol.

My 8T isn't rooted but I did flash the NA ROM over the Indian ROM that was pre-flashed by the seller.

I never unlocked the bootloader myself.

Did you root your 8T?

I messaged the dev of oxygen updater he mentioned to re-flash the same version firmware again with oxygen updater WITHOUT factory reset. Maybe you can try that out? @dearestk

What was the issue with singpass? I will be getting a new 512gb white 10 pro next week and can help test out also.
