Wtf all that self-hype and they limit gaming frame rate to 60?
Then what about the fluctuating fps for genshin? The only good thing is the thermal control seems to be very good but that's because their software throttle it until it runs like a midranger.
Hopefully is just OnePlus haven't push the latest optimised firmware but this is a bad look out of the box!
it could be just for genshin only since it's known as one of the more demanding titles? i wouldn't hold my breath at the moment though. the same channel tested the oppo reno8 pro recently and it seems to hover around 50 and below too, even though the dimensity 8100 can do better. my OnePlus Ace with 10R firmware for example will try to run at 60FPS as much as possible and only lowering fps once the phone heats up. So if i drop the graphics and use a simple external cooler, it could actually maintain 60fps. from tests i've seen for the oppo reno8 pro+ (china version of the reno8 pro essentially), the behaviour is to run at 60fps then only throttle when phone heats up too. SO.... perhaps throttling to around 50fps is the way OPPO/OnePlus is doing it for phones in the global market (or maybe just our region)???
this is a bit concerning since if they are doing a hard cap for the game, it means that even if you buy an external cooler or drop the graphics, you still won't be able to run the game at 60FPS... which sort of defeats the purpose of putting in a SD8+G1 IMO. cause if it's just for playing games like COD, PUBG, MOBA games, etc.... chips like sd870, dimensity 8100, can already handle those games just fine... lol. if that's the case, funnily the cheaper OnePlus 10R might actually be better for Genshin than the 10T since I feel like 60FPS in medium graphics, is more enjoyable than highest graphics at 45-50FPS. well, at least until they one day decided to throttle the phone with a software update to keep things consistent. lol.
