ai ya the first few versions were not exactly "Stock" android too, it was CM ROM mah. I actually find the middle part of OOS the ugliest like OOS 10 and 11 when it can't decide if it wants to be more stock-ish or more like ColorOS.

There's really nothing too bad about ColorOS (I prefer to ONEUI sometimes). I feel bad for OnePlus cos they are obviously lost and the hate online don't make sense sometimes (esp from india side complaining about OOS 12/13).
Yeah for me as long as got good QoL features without necessary bloatware and the design language more towards pixel's material design vs OEM skins, and the UI experience is fast and responsive I am happy liao.

CM is aosp. Close to stock android too le. After it move away from CM it is very good imo... Things start to go downhill from oos10 where people starts complaining. And software update speed slows down significantly. My wife nord ce 2 still stuck with June update
true, what really is "stock android" anyways? if one really nitpicks, even pixel phones has "strayed" away from stock android and UI. Main thing is still the response/speed and consistant fast updates that stock-ish android provide. Oneplus kinda forgotten what made it popular in the 1st place which was that, and when i was still having Realme GT2 Pro, even that phone is getting more frequent updates and bugfixes as compared to Oneplus's FLAGSHIP phones. That is what really pissed people off, is that they lost focus of what they were popular for in the 1st place. Nowadays even Samsung phones get more security+android updates, since their OS is already considered stable enough for daily use, with their large customer user base.

Stock android actually means google pixel firmware but tweaked with additional features. That one is the meaning of stock android.

And yes they are straying further and further away from their original "motto" and after their merge with oppo, things gotten worst

software is evolving one l, it can never remain the same as it is. Google gave us a good example.

My suspicion to why many of the updates to OOS12 got bug is because the code or whatever in OOS right now is probably messy AF with them trying to merge with ColorOS. Let's hope 13 will be better.

anyone else turned off by the colours? lol watched a few hands-on videos and er.. the green is quite Cheena (it's the jade green similar to Nord 2T. very acquired taste). the Black would've been nice but noticed there are stripes on it... i thought their matte black all bling bling one now it's stripes?

It's a different black from 10 pro... So they have to make it different ma... The green not bad looking, but black would have been nicer

Its a global model... So singpass should work fine. Its not a china set and flash global rom. It comes with 3 pin 160w vooc charger

Electronics though... U wont know when it is going to fail u suddenly :s13: i never had any issues on my oneplus phones at all too regardless export or local sets. Partly because i usually sold the phone before warranty expires:s13:

Anyone knows if the price will drop within a month or 2? Believe offical Oneplus Store on Shopee will generally keep the price fixed.

Not sure if resellers (such as far east mobile shops) will have selling local sets.

Can wait for street shop. But oneplus phones no demand in SG, not sure if they will carry it
