If I buy china set, is it cheaper? And can I still download apps from google playstore? Might get one for entertainment and photography purposes. It doesnt need to support singpass or banking but need to be able to use telegram and instagram at the minimum
For sure cheaper. Get those china set flashed with global firmware

I also saw the same pricing on xiapi. anyone gotten it before? wonder if it supports singpass and all the other banking apps..
I got mine from CODE-ONE. white 12/256. came in OOS out of the box, shut down and start more than 15 times with starhub sim card, no region lock, bank apps confirm working (im using OCBC, Citi, SC and UOB), SIngpass having that issue everyone is having, NFC also confirm working. also my set manufacturing date is mid Jan 2024. Hope this helps!

I gotten from Sally.co gadget. Black 12/256. Color OS 14 china version a day before CNY.
Gotten it at $848 from shopee.
Phone started with no issue.
Able to run with no problem: Gpay , OCBC, Trust, NTUC and all the other apps that i run with other android phone, only singpass having the 83 T991 error as same as the rest.

My friend bought a official MY set oneplus 12 still the same error on singpass . So it's singpass app issues doesn't matter whether it's cn or global set . Somemore there's SG IMDA logo printed on the box so basically SG & MY set it's the same.

Makes me feel that the delayed delivery date is just the sg team communicating with singpass to whitelist by certain date. Don't see how else they can say their 1.3k set can do singpass

nah, they have already mentioned is due to the production delays due to CNY, and priority of the factories are allocated to china and india first, and the rest of the world after that.

Hm.. but the official SG seller says that it supports singpass... if SG and MY set are the same, then by the time SG sets are distributed, the MY sets should also work, right?
Otherwise if SG official stock also cannot run singpass, I think a lot of people will be upset and possibly returning the phone to the seller.. does not make sense to pay much more premium but in the end also cannot work

really sad to hear this. price of oneplus is way lower in china and india. malaysia importer fastechlim selling 960 SGD for china set with global rom, which is about 250 or more cheaper than local set. this is quite alot considering u can get an entry level phone with 100 -150 more....

china and india = more quantity sold, lesser profit per phone but more quantity to make up the difference.
global = less quantity sold, sky rocket price which means more profit per phone, but less quantity sold

This got nothing to do with oneplus side.... it's the singpass developer that need to fix their app asap....

Just bought a OnePlus 12 hk set from mobile hardware. Everything works, nfc, gpay and banking apps. Singpass works except one part where u need to apply ur signing cert. But it's sufficient to use singpass.
How much was the purchase price? Does it come with e-sim?
Singpass 100% capability?
Thank you!
