It happens before.

I bought my wife a OnePlus, and in office everyone realised her using new phone and asked which brand and model. So she told them.

All of them mentioned never heard of the brand before. Honestly speaking, OnePlus has not much of an existence in Singapore. People looking at this brand most likely is used their stuffs before recommended by someone else, or a techie like myself.

I can tell you all honestly that the preorder sales of OnePlus is just peanuts compared to bigger brand like Samsung in Singapore.

So please, if you all want to crack comments such as the pricing is not good in global, ask yourself, which phone comes to global, the pricing is not marked up compared to China pricing? We have to manage our expectations at our end as well, like our beloved 9% gst, and operating costs of service centers

The fact that pricing is reduced for OnePlus 13 compared to OnePlus 12 is already very good. But please la, pricing will not be that "swee" compared to China for sure.

And, in Android world, there are tons of competition compared to Apple. So retention value of Apple definitely is better than Android :s22:
The current OnePlus distributor survived for some years already with current sales volume. Hope they can continue. Before that, I remember a few OnePlus distros closed down pretty quickly

To add on more

1299 for OnePlus 13 can get you a Samsung? At most S25. Not even the Plus or Ultra, which i am sure will lose out in camera performance, battery, aqua touch display, etc.

But yet, no one complained about Samsung though.... Sad...

Yes bro. I hope they stays.

I myself wants some competition as it benefits us as the consumer.

I did propose some suggestions about putting demo phones all around the island to gain more awareness and also for people to have a hands on and not needing to take the hassle and travel to City plaza especially for a westie like myself.

Oneplus SG mentioned that they will work something out on this

Now there is one less competitor called Huawei. If Huawei still can survive here, I wonder why OnePlus cannot do it.

This is talking about SRP. There are platform vouchers to knock off the pricing even more during preorder sales of OnePlus 13.

U are talking about Huawei here, they just need to exist in CN to exist, and there's tons of Chinamen in sg that will willingly buy Huawei here in SG too. How much budget does Huawei itself have u think leh

Hi, can someone advise how is the picture quality when taking moving objects? Will it be blur?

I love to take picture of my dog. I’ve never use OnePlus phone before. Plan to give it a try.

I feel is that OnePlus need to buck up support. Else rising brand in Singapore like Honor may eat away OnePlus.
The 2 flagship candy bar phone is too close for spec. Fold is already no match currently.
Btw i using OP since OP3 till now. So do hope OP will do well so there is more competition and option

Comparing US/UK market in singapore is a no go bro...

Market in Singapore is wayyy smaller for OnePlus. So don't expect fantastic deals here, sorry to say

You can walk in the streets telling people you are using OnePlus, i am sure 9 out of 10 or even 10 out of 10 never heard of this brand before
Market size won't matter if they just do what xiaomi/poco online store do and just ship from Shenzhen/HK warehouse to keep prices down
Maybe whoever has the OnePlus distro contract paid well to keep it the way it is right now

Poco's X7 Pro early bird launched 8/256 as low as $351, 12/512 $401
And that's even doable with Redmi Turbo 4 being priced at ¥1999 (~370SGD)

I have no comments about this. U can go buy poco x7 pro. No one is stopping you.

Fyi, the pricing is controlled by Oneplus HQ, and not by the distro.

Have a great weekend. Cheers

Why are you comparing a low/mid end phone with a flagship?
