OnePlus 15T Launched With 7,500mAh Battery, Dual 50-Megapixel Cameras: Price, Specifications | Technology News https://share.google/4lN7AdeGoMuPi0bWL

OPO selling the smaller compact version via oppo store in china.. so I figure that in the long term 1-3 years definitely they are shutting down all global markets and concentrating just china and India for strategic purposes via oppo branding...

Aiya u all worry too much.... My guess for this whole thing is that it's gonna be similar to Oppo Find N5 and N6 release countries, so most probably Singapore is not gonna be affected. Alot of techtuber are from western and Europe countries so they have always been the "should we launch there" countries list of especially CN phones.

https://mabumbe.com/people/oneplus-shutdown-rumors-is-oneplus-leaving-global-markets/

Ok la I think this article makes more sense..they shutting down most global markets keeping profitable ones.. and maybe focusing more on realme going forward..

I tend to think OnePlus brand will still be there but will operate more like Realme in the future (sub-brand, fully integrated in terms of operation)

No real impact to end users in reality.

Xiaomi -- Redmi -- Poco

Oppo -- OnePlus -- Realme

Vivo -- iQOO

Huawei (no sub-brand now, used to have Honor as the sub-brand)

Honor (no sub-brand now)

I think that will raise questions on whether they r gonna continue supporting oxygen os or merge into coloros for all existing OPO and future products lol.. definitely integrating into one make more sense to them..

Haha, that is a good choice. Less technical support needed from your side (eg, to remove the ads).

But you yourself get the Poco X8 Pro Max. :ROFLMAO:

Yes, but I have the knowledge to remove the ads. So just go for the value for money option

Actually for OnePlus 15R, still not as bad of a price point at 6xx. Look at A57 at similar price point :s13:

Compared to Poco x8 Pro Max, basically getting 2 year warranty, better OS and OS support, better build quality (glass back instead of plastic back).

Initially am wondering why they release 15R and at such a price point. Now after discounts, 640 for 256gb is still pretty decent compared to a57. Performance wins a57 easily by 2 to 3 times.

Srp at 949 a bit :s22:

OnePlus 15R is probably at a bit higher tier than the Poco X8 Pro Max in terms of market segmentation.

Wiithin Xiaomi's Poco line up, Poco F8 Pro is at higher tier than Poco X8 Pro Max.
Poco F8 Ultra > Poco F8 Pro > Poco X8 Pro Max > Poco X8 Pro > Poco M8 Pro 5G > Poco M8 5G

OnePlus 15R pricing will probably be between Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra.

Samsung A57 (or previous A56) is kind of safe bet for those who want to stick with Samung. Pixel 10a (or previous 9a) is another safe bet. Not the best price-performance ratio like Poco but the users will not really go wrong to buy them.

Example -- no so sure OnePlus 15R or Poco X8 Pro Max or Poco F8 Pro get 5G NR support from Singtel or not. Samsung and Google mid-range phones will get the support.

But at least Poco F8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max supports eSIM. unlike Poco F7 Pro and Poco X8/X7 Pro which do not support eSIM.
