OnePlus 15R is probably at a bit higher tier than the Poco X8 Pro Max in terms of market segmentation.

Wiithin Xiaomi's Poco line up, Poco F8 Pro is at higher tier than Poco X8 Pro Max.
Poco F8 Ultra > Poco F8 Pro > Poco X8 Pro Max > Poco X8 Pro > Poco M8 Pro 5G > Poco M8 5G

OnePlus 15R pricing will probably be between Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra.

Samsung A57 (or previous A56) is kind of safe bet for those who want to stick with Samung. Pixel 10a (or previous 9a) is another safe bet. Not the best price-performance ratio like Poco but the users will not really go wrong to buy them.

Example -- no so sure OnePlus 15R or Poco X8 Pro Max or Poco F8 Pro get 5G NR support from Singtel or not. Samsung and Google mid-range phones will get the support.

Those that stuck in the Samsung ecosystem can only choose A57. It's not a bad phone, but still, you can get a better spec phone out there in the market. Samsung phones, u have to pay for the Samsung tax lo.

For me, as long as the OS is livable with, x8 pro max and 15R are both fine for me. HyperOS 3 addresses some of the issues i faced previously. And some effort required for ad removal. Of course i still encounter some of the random stutters here and there.

Those that do not have the knowledge, 15R is pretty decent. Performance on par with x8 pro max, with better build quality, warranty, software and software support.

I am reviewing A57, my experience with the wireless connectivity isnt really good, which is the same on the x8 pro max. Funnily, in my bedroom, furthest from both APs, wireless connection will randomly drop. That does not happen on 15 and 15R. So somehow, the wireless g2 chip works. At least i don't encounter random drops, especially when I'm in game. Of course i can tweak the signal strength, but didn't matter much for me as we are seldom in that room

To add on, NR 5G working fine on Zym for both 15R and x8 pro max. So should be fine on Singtel I guess?

Based on my test, SingTel Prepaid 5G does not even support VoWiFi, same for ST MVNOs like Zym.

I am not sure if SingTel Prepaid 5G will support VoNR or not.

My current Poco X7 Pro does not support VoNR, no matter using SingTel SIM Only 5G or M1 Maxx 5G or StarHub Prepaid 5G.

No issues. 5G NR is just nice to have as of now. VoLTE is okay. 4G network will be there for a long time, say until 2032 or even beyond. So VoLTE will be there for quite some time as well.

But indeed this is a bit weird as the Prepaid 5G Unlimited plans at S$35 or S$40 per month actually have the "5G+ Enhanced" label. So by right they should have higher priority and higher features than SingTel S$15.28 plan and ST MVNOs' 5G plans (plain 5G+, not 5G+ Enhanced).

Edit: he is using the Yay S$19.90 plan, not the more expensive S$35/S$40 Unlimited plan.

Ya. It leaves me puzzled too why there is no VONR available. I thought that should be one of the standards now.

I see. Yay monthly is not too bad at S$19.9 per month.

Still the S$15 montly plan may already be good enough for most users.

Singtel's own S$15.28 per month plan do not have the same roaming benefits (only 50GB Malaysia). It has 12 months contract as well.

ST MVNO's S$15 5G plans (no contract) are good with more roaming benefits. But then they do not have the hotline and physical shop support for the Singtel Prepaid.

2. Tap on top left sandwich menu, and go to Settings
3. Tap on your Gmail account
4. Go to Inbox notifications
5. Toggle on Label notifications and Notify for every message

you can select the 3 dots on right top, and install beta program.

i think most of us on march, did this way.
