usually will work on first attempt..subsequently will fail or on and off work. Both gpay or gpay sg works 100% on export.

When the next software update instead use ota. Download the full rom from OnePlus website then do local update

Mine is CN set OP8 and been using it to take bus and MRT almost daily for the past one month. Detection is instant. Only failed once on bus

Any idea how come op8 (not pro) is so much more expensive as compare to last year's op7??

Issit due to 5g hardware? Op7 8/256 ~$615 after all discount, but this year the cheapest op8 8/128 ~$730

No I mean I bought op7 at launch at $615 last year. But this year launch, op8 inflated >$100

Looking at this trend, means Nx year op9 is going to be another $100 more ex than op8?

a possibility as 865 has the 5g modem that jack up pricing this year.

I would try if only restoring the phone is not such a pain.. I have to relogin and positioning the app on my home screen, put widgt where I want it.. thinking about it already making me tired

Cos OnePlus 7 is basically almost the same as OnePlus 6t. OnePlus 8 got 5g chipset bundled with sd865 so more exp.cos Qualcomm only sell as bundle there is no 4g sd865.

Oh so I'm correct that the phones are really getting a lot more ex than last year, I thought i was imagining things.

And qualcomm is the culprit for inflating the price since they can monopolise the market with their best soc

Thinking to change to op8pro coz of a better camera... Op7 cam is actually a lot worse than my previous s7e, like a C tier cam. Then s7e is a high B tier. Not sure if op8pro cam really can be A tier tho
