Ahhh icic... Im looking at 8t, but somehow... I still prefer the AG glacier green on 8 compared to 8t as 8t aquamarine green is glossy, and only lunar silver is AG

Is fast charging and that extra 30hz refresh rate important to u? If not I believe the 8 has better form factor..

Guys in case anyone needs it, after reading up google play services causing drain on android 11. I disabled google play store and services. Sot is almost doubled from 5 hrs to 10 hours for same usage.give it a try while google is fixing it.

Only if you have battery draining issues. Disregard if your phone is fine.

If Google play services is disabled means my apps won't be updated as usual? So far my battery life seems same pre and after update. Just curious about the battery drain issue you are facing. Maybe I try disabling the Google play services later.

SD S20U not as power efficient as the SD N20U for some reason. Noticed a fair bit of difference. Wonder why as hardware more or less the same.

Yes, won't be updated and this is a nono for most of them. I am just testing things out because the battery drain and the SOT is too little.

I have experiment with the 2 same phones with different models;

- OnePlus 8 Pro Model IN2020
- OnePlus 8 Pro Model IN2023

Both are running on OP8Pro_02_BETA_2 Android 11.

activities include the following;
- YouTube videos
- Gmail
- 1 hour of Gaming, Genshin Impact (high gfx demand)
- Facebook, IG, WeChat, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE.

Tried alternate days with 1 of the phone for same usage pattern.
Till battery died - Approx. 6 HRS 30 - 50 mins for both phones.

After i disabled the Google Play Services, i can reach Approx 9 Hours 30 mins SOT.

Not saying disabling google play services makes sense since we are using it daily. But that is what it is now till google fixes the issues they acknowledged from the oneplus forums ppl.

Not sure if that helps some ppl here, just sharing.

Google is fixing it... Somehow there is this bug about the services draining batteries.. it is haunting p4a as well
