initial performance test for games seems weaker than other D8100 phones. maybe not optimised yet.

Haha why leh 150w charging quite exciting what... The battery longevity issue is fixed supposedly.
the thing is the phone is barely going to be at 150W for more than a short burst? in the end to preserve longevity and reduce heat it probably won't be going full throttle all the time. Fastest test i've seen on YT show like 0-100% in about 15 mins? but then my RedMagic 7 Pro using 65W charging and 500mAh larger battery full charge in 23 mins. to me not a big difference at all (probably due to thermal management). I would rather have slower charging but larger battery so it can last longer rather than charge faster. haha. realme gt neo 3 also has a 80W version with 5,000mAh version aside the 150W and 4,500mAh version. so hopefully global version of the Ace will use the former. IMO quite likely to happen to since a lot of the super fast charging phones tend to be china only like the china version of the RedMagic 7 Pro has 135W but global only 65W (and from reviews I've seen that charges from 0-100 in around 15mins also for 5,000mAh).

Yeah maybe have 2 variants.

That's a great point but I think 150w is for those who like to do quick top ups and the initial boost can really make a difference if you're not charging to full.

But extra 500mAh is good also lah.

maybe for folks who change phone yearly, don't mind having a bit more degradation, want that quick boost from time to time, faster charging version would be good. plus D8100 should be a bit more efficient than the SD8 Gen 1 phones, so 4,500mAh might still be more than enough. 😂 but well, we'll find out eventually. 1 more week to go for the 10R in India.

Yeah agreed.

BTW do you know why this model don't have the O-Sync function as part of the hyperboost suite for gaming optimisations?

It's the function to boost the touch latency from hardware to software.

Seems like a software implementation leh... Or is it mediatek chip don't support it?

no idea. not sure if it's just software or not. it could require better hardware as well for the screen also. haha. probably cost cutting somewhere or maybe just reserving the feature for higher end model. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Haha yeah I guess so too...

Would it be easy to flash to Indian OOS from Chinese version running ColorOS?

Any setbacks you know of?

seems like their tuning of D8100 isn't as refined as xiaomi?

I think they gave up China market already
Hydrogen OS was a tragedy in China then they made the decision to integrate with Color OS
But the Color OS team will obviously focus their efforts on Oppo which probably sells a whole tonne more phones and has much bigger market share in the market
Whats left with Oneplus will only be whatever that is plug and play.... the fine tuning will only come later with Oxygen OS where they fix issues with bug reports from the global audience and then they roll back the fixes from Global rom to China Color OS rom

For the Chinese they only have colorOS now, but the draw remains that they can just flash to global rom and root it.
