I somewhat asked a similar question in another thread. the phones that are worth considering like 9R, 9RT, 10R are only sold in CN and IN. Getting IN set is out of the question. Can anyone enlighten me as I'm been trying to find a definite answer but to no avail. Does China Rom definitely won't have Widevine L1 hence won't support Netflix HD? Been wanting to get a CN phone but am worried on this.
If so, does a global ROM always have Widevine L1?
I only know for sure local sets won't have this issue but alot of phones aren't available locally
Tks so much for your help. Was thinking to get the Oneplus Ace (10R) from the official Oneplus SG store from Shopee. They have mentioned its a Global ROM with Netflix HD support. Not sure if this is legit.I somewhat asked a similar question in another thread. the phones that are worth considering like 9R, 9RT, 10R are only sold in CN and IN. so we get sold CN sets flashed to Global ROM. A long long long time ago, OP used to be very easy to change ROM, just download into phone & use system updater to flash then do clean reset.
Nowadays, that updater is gone and to flash other region i think u need to unlock bootloader. Allegedly, so long you lock back, ur safe but aaftr redaing numerous complaints/confusion from others online, i think lock back bootloader aslo no L1.
and confirm CN no L1. they don't need it anyway..

Haha yea. But was trying to gamble that its L1 since Global ROM version cost $100 more than the CN ROM version. Would be a waste to pay more and still get L3the only way to know is to check the DRM via an app.
in the grand scheme of things tho, if the price is right and every other spec is good, I wouldn't mind L3. I don't think i've ever watched a Netflix show on my phone before tbh lol
I think as it stands, it's better to buy OnePlus models with global release in NA/EU and sold through OnePlusSG local set.Haha yea. But was trying to gamble that its L1 since Global ROM version cost $100 more than the CN ROM version. Would be a waste to pay more and still get L3
20V/7.5A so you need a cable rated to 7.5A to enjoy full speed.New owner of ace. Got it from little India at 520. It's with oxygenos and 12/256 green back.
My 20x died and was looking to get k50 pro and decided to try this. Surprisingly fast and smooth and can use one hand surf and check emails. No issues thus far. 150w charging damn shiok after being stuck 4 years at 18-22.5w. 15mins enough to get it to 100%. But the 160w charger solidly heavy.
Partly get it cuz I wanted to try 8100max and 610...too bad no ready k50 pro to get cuz it's on 9000/710.
The speakers and sound still a notch below e 20x as it's not as define and clear especially if it's on full volume. Abit muddy at full blast
I was wondering the wrap cable any difference from other wrap cable since no indication. Is it really a 150w cable.

HDR 10 or 10 Plus is the most common standard on the majority of phones, as they are free and easy to implement. While Dolby Vision requires a license and more challenging implementation, that’s why it is usually found on high-end flagship phonesHow's Netflix for your phone? Does it support HD playback?
