Phone and delivery to US address shd be USD365 if not wrong, from USA to SG probably ard USD30 plus.

Google it and the answers are plenty everywhere, including this thread.

* Note to 2 bro: OnePlusOne is an awesome bang for buck smartphone that has good specs/hardware and also good software(in term of optimisation and features but not stability as compared to iOS or even big players rom). Therefore, if you decide to get this phone, a little googling will helps a long way

Can briefly tell us what u did?

downloaded the 900mb file and extracted it
power on opo into fastboot mode and plug into pc
installed the exe
used explorer open the location where persist.img was in
hold ctrl and shift, right click and open command window
type in fastboot devices to get some serial number
type in fastboot oem unlock

and im done

supposed to have some more commands but for some reason, my phone was factory reset after the unlock command

fastboot oem unlock -> fastboot erase persist -> fastboot flash persist persist.img -> fastboot reboot?

So u did not erase persist command & the phone reboot after oem unlock. U may wanna consider install TWRP. Can flash to other Roms.

to be honest, im not much of a techie

i got the opo due to the price and specs and my note 2 was lagging like crazy

other than this unfortunate incident, im quite pleased with the phone

smooth and good interface

yday was a day of reading and learning for me with regards to the phone

i will need to do alot more reading before i proceed lol

twrp requires root right?

but will keep your suggestion in mind

when you typed fastboot oem unlock you have unlocked your bootloader, hence the factory reset. to get TWRP u just need to flash a custom recovery in this case TWRP.

You also did not flash the persist.img file if im not wrong. you might need to do it again after flashing TWRP.
