No, don't need Malaysian address.

CIMB Orchard will help you prepare and submit the documents to Malaysia for the account opening.

Can I bank in Malaysian cheques directly to this CIMB MY account in Malaysia?

Opened my cimb MY account.

Apply on Sat at sg brunch.
Mid week, received sms from courier.
Courier came on weekend afternoon. Nobody home to sign the package. So they left a note.
Rescheduled on weekend. Received the debit card within a week.

Debit card pin they will sms to your registered phone number.

Have to call in to activate and change pin.
After that can activate cimbclick Malaysia.

To link SG&MY account, have to use desktop login.
Linking takes 3 working days.

After that can see the account in cimbclick SG.

Can transfer SG to MY with live fx quote.

Not bad experience.
Will try withdrawl from atm in my next visit.

When I was opening mine, I was told there're 3 types of accounts to choose from. I chose the regular one, not tagged to AirAsia or the other corporation(?)...

BTW is deposit RM 500 not SGD 500 .. so u just deposit around SGD 250 to get RM 500
