Nope, wont come back.
It will be 'activated' in 1 month is what the letter says, but 1 mth by itself is subjective actually.

Received letter on the installing of optical fibre by OpenNet.
In the booklet, it was mentioned that "It is recommended that the termination point is installed near your exisitng SCV/TV/AC power point and/or telephone in your living room."

However, my telephone point and SVC point are at difference side( opposite) & current singnet moderm in the bedroom.

If i just install the TP in the living room, which point area( near Telephone pt or SVC point) should i install?.. and the reason for it.=:p
Thanks in advance for your kinf explanation.:)

OR i should install in directly to the bedroom which has the SCV & telephone point together.

Kindly enlighten...:D

how can that be?

maxonline bb is using cables...

fibre not even activated yet... unless your is installed one to three mths ago...

they used different lines / cables...

the green ones are famous for slow speed... that why i switch over...

u get 3-4 mb... i got dialup speed on 12 plan... last time which is worse =:p

dont understand the FO reading also...

feedback to opennet... they dont keep records nor know the ranges of good reading...

maybe more people taking up green plans... as more people take up... speed drop ones...

i feel even frustrated last time...dialup speed on cable plan...

My situation is similar to Froggyman, SCV pt and telephone pt opp each other, and singnet modem in the bedroom.

My current usage is bb, line phone and TV. If I consider future use for SCV and ipTV, where is the best location ?

If the ONT does not need to be connect to the telephone line for the BB, perhaps the best location is next to the SCV pt ? But then if I use my laptop in the bedroom, which is one wall away, will I get a good reception ?

Thanks for the advice.

SBB is using tel line
SH is using SCV cable
both got nothing to do with the fiber optic....so the decision is yours....
in fiber optic - both Signet n Starhub will use signal from the common TP

So if I intend to use the fiber optic for my wireless laptop, the TV / power pt would be a good location. But if I need it for my wired PC, the TP should be close to the PC.

In this manner, can I say that the ONT also acts like the wireless modem ?

So in such situation, usually you guys will install in which location?
What consideration need to be taken into when making the decision.
Does it mean current singnet users should install the common TP neae telephone point.?:s22:

Thanks for those that have reply.:)

Blur On Opennet Installation??

Hi All,

Received the Opennet letter package in which I had book the installation to be somewhere in late April. Currently I'm using M1 Home Broadband & Starhub Cable TV with free digital voice. Living Room & 3 of my bed room all have SCV point & telephone point.

My question is must I die die to install it in the Living Room since the TV is there? My house mosty likely would be using laptops (Currently 2-3 laptop being use at home with wireless router) or the most AIO PC, won't be using any desktop PC. Can I request Opennet to install extra TP in the 3 bedrooms?

When come to getting the service is only M1 & Starhub? I do not have anymore tel line from Singtel which had been using digital voice for almost 10 years ago!

Hope to get more advices from members in here.
