GG stands for what? Cannot connect to router even? Did your OneVoice work?

The router is up now after firmware got reflashed. Basically just now some bug or config issue is causing high load on the router, now it is fine now. Except that now my interface got stuck at 100mbps. Probably solve it later.

gg = good game. lol, gaming term.

I know what gg means actually, I was asking how gg level (jia lat) was the gg actually.

I saw that in VQ thread. For my experience, you may go to Zhone (192.168.1.1) and:

Zhone home page (192.168.1.1) -> Configuration -> Interfaces -> Ethernet

There check which port did you connect to (GE1 to GE4) and set the following:

Admin State: Enable

Max Bit Rate: 100

Duplex Mode & Pause: Auto

The last 2 configuration options: Disable

Save it.

Then, change the Max Bit Rate to "Auto" again.

Please do not force 1Gbps full Duplex in Device Manager as most of the time it will cause the connection to be disconnected either immediately or after reboot / next day when you turn on your PC.

Sometimes stuck at the 100Mbps is because Duplex mode set into "Half", where support of 1Gbps (Anything above 100Mbps aka Fast Ethernet) needs to be full Duplex.

Haha, just now gg level was really bad, basically dhcp fail, packet lost, high ping even to router.

Don't have Ethernet access under my Configuration, probably due to me having only user acl.

Pretty stable now, minimal jitter no packet lost. My GPON recv dbm was a sad -27~ though.

Back track to the thread, opennet for me was ok. No one came down to my place at all due to my place having a stock TP from BTO. All the activation process was done without any visit.

Wah really ah? If like that, dnt really need to do conceal trunking and stretch the optic fibre to all the way to living room rite? Because my store room( with electrical and phone socket) is right behind my electrical riser along the corridor.so i believe, there is already data point around the sockets. So thinking of putting the TP and ONT in store room(easiest fastest way for the installer)then modem in living room. ONT in store and modem in living room conmected by a homeplug pairing. My question then is,will there be a risk in getting poor internet speed as compared to getting ont tp and modem all located at living room?

I can say 75% you will have poor internet connection.

Hi guys,

Someone from MR came down today to install another connection to Port 2 of the TP. He noticed that port 2 has not been spliced. :vijayadmin:

Which means to say Port 2 is not connected. Do all households receive 1 or 2 ports?

Hi guys, hope you guys can help me out. just this morning Opennet came and installed the tp in the living room :( Should've checked this thread sooner..now really sian already..what are the other alternatives for me to have a wired connection? I have a ac66u with me that I just bought, will it have a lot of difference with wired? Or should I just buy cat6 cables and trunk it to my room?

So in summary, best to stretch the optical cable all the way to living room and have the tp,ont and modem side by side in living room yah?

If your store room is also the bomb shelter, installing the TP in there is a big waste.
Firstly, if your router is in there too, you cannot use the LAN ports which is a shame since you prob get very good and stable connection via wired connection. I do recommend setting up the TP where you can get easy access to the router using LAN connection.
Secondly, the thicker walls and the metal door is bound to kill most of of the connection outside it. I have a friend that did that, and I can barely get a good connection just a few meters away from the bomb shelter.

It's always good to place in open space so maximize reception

depending how many walls you have between living room and bed room.

based on my usage, I am getting about 30% of my max speed from the living room to bedroom, separated by a thick concrete wall, but I am using N66U, though. 2.4ghz on my devices.

of course, nothing beats direct wire via trunking if you want 100% of speed.

Sweet god. Installation completed successfully today. It is not perfect, cause I am getting about 80+ percent of the advertised download and upload speed, but its not too shabby for me. Will test it out more when I get time.

Thanks, only 30% through wireless?? Now no choice to go through wired.. Signed up with viewqwest in the end get crappy results..I wouldn't want that.., I'm thinking of getting the 3m one pass mini from my living room to bedroom, is that a good choice? My house not so big, only 3 room flat, or should I just get an asus USB ac53 to make use of my ac66u? Can that even compare to a wired connection?

My house is also not big. My room is about 5-6 m directly in front of N66U router, block by thick concrete wall.

Why don't you run flat cat 6 cable around the skirting of your house to room?
