Bought logitech z407 from Sls dynacore @ $105
Research online from tradepac to lazada/shopee about $118 to $125 before any coupon or discount.
Don't wanna wait any longer as wanna enjoy my computer since long weekend lol, expected to pay around $118 to cash and carry. Saw it selling $105 at dynacore physical shop and their online lazada is $125.

This is how I place my speakers. Woofer below. Just for near field listening.
I don't really hear the bass if I am not in this glass partition room. But if sit in front of my pc, then the bass hits real hard.
So I guess sound is really subjective. My r1280dbs probably cost me only $110 purchased a year ago. My t5 purchase yesterday from endlesspassion. paid only 40+ out ofnpocket after getting massive discounts from other sources So it's like $150+ and i enjoy how it sounds. That's all that matter isn't it haha
Nice setup!

Off topic a little. Why put your watches so neat to the speaker.... Better to be safe then sorry. Also, can share what watches are those?

Why should I want my speaker to go into standby? It’s alway on music or something. I prefer to have it on all the way then go into stand by. :)

Not bothered by the auto standby?
u were asking me or the other guy?

my edifier T5 subwoofer paired with my r1280dbs...dont have any auto standby issue though. always work when i play music. not sure why there are reports about this auto standby thing.

nv happen to me. even when i afk for an hour, when i use back my pc and play music, my sub works fine.

i am happy with my cheap r1280dbs + t5 subwoofer combo. As i not an audiophile type of music listener, to me it sounds okay already and makes me enjoy the music i am listening to.

I notice alot of audiophiles too concern of the flat sound of audio, "music as how it is intended", too concern about how audio sounds out.. too concern about hearing that minute detail that might not be really so important...rather than enjoying the music haha..

I am just looking for clarity and good bass that hits hard when i need it to be so that i enjoy the music i play.

Yours is cheap? Mine is edifier r19!

I'm not an audiophile too but agree with what you said. Too many "audiophiles" are too particular about specs. Used to buy higher end wired iems too before tws era but nowadays I'm perfectly with sub $50 products which are exceptionally bang for buck. Heck, look at my edifier r19!

i guess for certain items there will always be a point of diminishing returns.

a 2k studio monitor might not sound 4 times better than a $500 studio monitor haha..

Can enjoy the music can already ba.

if i can enjoy a $200 speakers fine, and if a $1000 speaker lets me hear a small cymbal sound that is not found on a song, will listening to a $200 speakers without that small teeny cymbal sound affect my listening experience? that missing cymbal sound worth that extra $800 to pay for? that light "ting....." sound does not matter to me hahaha. Just an example, dont flame me~

or if someone plays music casually at home at a low volume. having a $1000 speaker setup or a decent $200 speaker setup probably not much of a difference if the music is soft for ambience.

But if i am a content creator or a music/song producer, then yea of course.

Also... if u are getting speakers for near-field listening only... u wouldn't have to go for such powerful speakers or subwoofers... same case for me that's why I find my Creative Pebble V3 good enuff for my listening...

Duh near-field listening for speakers/subwoofers... since when listening to headphones has been described as near-field listening? Is there headphones that are for far-field listening?

You have a point. Choosing a near or far field listerning should based on size/power/loudness capability of speakers.
Choosing the wrong speakers means the owner has to listen at low volume, which is boring. Best playing/listerning
volume should be between 10-12 o'clock. In my house, when someone listen/watch music/video with a smart phone,
the whole house can hear it loud and clear, it's annoying. :(
