The number of Mainland Chinese "SC" in a particularly popular SAP school in Marine Parade is staggering.

In a school that should have previously been impervious to foreigners, we start to see more of them around.

In the old system where they use bingo balls for balloting, SCs will get 2 balls and therefore 2 chances instead of 1 for PRsS

That's where they started to outsmart the system by...becoming Singaporeans.

SC is SC la. No such thing as new SC or mainland Chinese SC. Your ancestors were mainland Chinese SC at some point, does that mean the 2nd gen, meaning your grandparents generation are equally loyal to mainland China?

Distance based admission is the best, although not ideal.

Those homes near to oversubscribed school, should pay relative higher property tax.

Distance based admission is also effortless for the parents, no different from church, temple affiliation. We should make the parents go through some hardship like doing community service or social work to clock points. Only after clocking certain points then can get priority admission. Singapore would be a better place.

2A yes for TS unfortunately is oversub.
If you see Gongshan and PEPS over sub so much is also due to MOE Kindy.

And they are really very popular to begin with...

Applying pri school need to study and see stats then decide which is safer method. Very sian to kena ballot one.

Sorry for you. Yes i feel this MK game is dumb too. Especially in new estates. The current curriculum of MK is not really fantastic too. People send kids to MK to secure 2A but now its so fully sub.

Any plans for 2C school? Tbh i feel you should consider Northshore pri in Punggol. It's Really not bad and 2C likely sure in. But you go plan and think your logistics.

I really think it’s the town planning and family planning.

if you know it’s a new estate there would be a lot of young couples. Then schools in that area will auto become damn hard to get in.

I would shift out and try for another more matured estate maybe chance better.

What I don’t understand is how come Sengkang green got alumni so many when first primary school year was 2012

what you say is true.. where got alumni when the school first start in 2012. If the P6 graduate in 2012, the most his age is around 24 years old. Maybe is a young parent ????

I was in the property forum and pointed out that staying <1km no longer has high chance for desired Primary Schools and got shot left right centre. Seems to be the case right here

I checked the website… primary classes got nine classes!! So the teachers must be overworked. The school has four principals.
