Anyone knows what's the difference between the Pioneer Pro-151fd and the KRP-500a? Are they the same thing but model defined differently for different regions?

I'm asking what's the difference between the 2 models - not whether it's available locally. Is it the same thing just that numbering different due to different regions/countries?

i chose tv stand. but they provide wall mount within 6 months if required. best of both worlds...

I wonder if this had been posted before. Courts Tampines Megastore has a few Pioneer plasma display set for sale. if I'm not wrong, the KRP-500A is $27xx.

the PQ had lots of noise and jagged edge, I don't think the best 50" plasma is that bad displaying BD. but the details is too much for DVD, maybe 720P? I guess its either incorrect setup or the display set has serious issue. then again, just about every Plasma on display at Tampines megastore exhibit lots of noise...purposely setup to make LCD looks superior?

even so, the black of the very best LCD are seriously lacking. Samsung LED backlit LCD is showing some *Chinese calligraphy/wash painting*, they looks great on Samsung as these art are generally 2D only. I suppose every shop displaying the so call LED TV are instructed by Samsung to NOT display SDTV content....


P.S. of course the korean would say its Korean calligraphy/painting since even 孔子 Confucius is Korean.

I will avoid display sets even if it is cheaper by $1k+. HN is selling at $3999 with BD player and extended warranty which I think is a better deal.

that does sound like a better deal, consider the cost of BD player and extended warranty. Courts Tampines stated on the display set--Sold as it is, that probably mean no warranty whatsoever.

Have a look at Courts as well, you just need to visit a few places. Stocks are running low.

Just got my 500A today. Saw the sticker was manufactured Aug 09. Speaker Oct 09 and media box Nov 09. Saw that the panel is 500-P ? But below it says 500A. Anyone can clarify? Only will install when my wall feature is up.

500-P is the designation for the panel.
