Different strokes for different folks.
Coming from Pixel 6a which I currently have issues with, big and small. Firstly is the in-display fingerprint scanner which I often have problems unlocking, though slightly better after software updates but still not a smooth experience. Secondly is the 60Hz display refresh rate which is obviously quite outdated at this point, a higher refresh rate would be good for media consumption. Thirdly is the size dimension, I prefer larger phones.
Fiddled with Poco F5 that I bought for my partner as a replacement phone, after reading up the specs which is very impressive on paper for an attractively priced mid-ranger. Hands on experience was very positive though not a fan of MIUI. The obvious negatives lies on the cameras which many reviews have commented, but that doesn't bother me since I'm not a photography enthusiast, I'm good as long as it can take decent shots.
The 120Hz display is very nice and the size is just right for me. Overall design is clean and simplistic, nothing too fancy on the rear cameras which I prefer, unlike the gigantic camera bumps on newer phones these days. Most importantly it has a physical side fingerprint scanner and also front camera face unlock which is certainly a nice bonus for me. Lastly it uses SD7 Gen-2 processor which is definitely a track proven CPU.
With that I've finally pulled the trigger and ordered the F5 for myself, will be using it as my daily. Hopefully it holds up since I will rely this for work as well.
