Cameras has nvr been poco selling point or advantage since Day 1

Even next year F6 where I believe they will gib camera "upgrade" (since now F5 using same as F4)

i dun think will hab any wow-factor also

Anyway

from my observation

xiaomi nowadays like no motivation in their poco fones lineup

Mayb its due to many "competitors" and fones that flood the market now that they cant seem to be bother much alr

Its like telling u - "This is what I'm giving u with this price, u want u bai if dun want then sua"
Xiaomi themself is making way too many model/re-naming. I counted 13 Redmi Note 12 varients, that alone is as much as what some companies makes in a whole year, if not more.

The products overlap each other mostly, consumer suffer with spread out focus on firmware updates etc. Even flagship update isn't even on par with Samsung A series (13Ultra is still on Jun security patch while A54 is already Jul).

Typical corporate, more budget to hire sales / pm people than actual developers.

hire people to do security patch don’t make money so it’s a cost centre haha

This.

I am surprised by the amount of expectations for poco phones.

This brand is usually all about a great but not flagship processing chip, the rest of the specification is less than flagship standards. It is a decent phone for everyday, but not any flagship killer in terms of performance or camera.

That is why they are able to sell their products with narrow profit margins and included ads in the phone.

When was Poco even marketed as a flagship phone? It's a very affordable mid tier phone that comes with ex-flagship soc but so-so cameras .

It is even cheaper than the Samsung A5 or A7 series but with very good performance.

Any cheap phone with mid tier soc but very good camera?

Why poco only focus on such tier, good Soc chip cheaper than good camera modules ah?

Not sure your definition of cheap, but generally the cheapest phone with good camera is pixel 6a.

Was as low as $400 a few months ago

Precisely

in fact poco itself is a "rebranded" from its other xiaomi fones lineup

ie. F5 Pro = K60

few years ago, mi 10 note was such a phone. Dono how much soc cost, but camera modules is really pretty darn cheap. 13U all 4 module cost less than $100, but you do need go soc to run them smoothly with those high MP.

Yeah, it is not but there are expectations of flagship performance though. :s13:

Poco phones are considered value for money and good but not excel in everything.

an old app's notification alert triggers the ringtone instead of notification tone...
anyone encounter this?

same app version installed on poco f2 pro didn't have this issue.
setup for ringtone and notification tone is correct on the f5 pro leh...

could it be miui problem? although both are @ miui 14, but at a slight variation.
f2 pro @ android 12, whereas f5 pro @ android 13
