The Note 9 thread say if use normal charger instead of the fast charging charger in the box, can prolong battery life. Is this true?

I think we'll never get a real answer but i believe to a certain extent, it will keep your battery life over a longer time BUT battery will degrade as you charge anyway so i think companies have made it in such a way that the degradation won't be noticeable. So if you maybe keep your phone for 2-3 years, that's when you'll notice it but then again people using iPhone also complaining their battery life isn't that good after 2-3 years.

So now, are you willing to wait 5 hours to charge your battery and after 2 years, still notice your battery life isn't that good anymore, or takes 1-1.5hrs to charge and see the same result lol.

Today I use my x3 nfc till 1% and auto shut down. Charging was fast using its charger. Phone external temp at the case around 35°C. Seem like the battery improved. Doesn't drain fast like before.

Fast charging generate more heat and the heat may degrade the battery. But phones now have better battery management control so battery life degradation is negligible to normal charging.
If the phone feels unusually hot while charging then stop the charging. If it feels normal then let it continue to fast charge.

Tks..coz my hp usually use for 3 yrs..think will just go ahead to use the provided charger. Don't wanna wait 5 hrs just to charge. Really enjoying the fast charging..<1hr finish charging..

I think to maintain your battery to last as long as possible, don't "overcharge" it. Once hit 100%, remove it or maybe wait for a few minutes more than remove. Also, try not to let it use until dead.

Ya..I always do that..once fully charged, faster unplug.

I checked my batt usage..from 100% to 53%..used 47% on gaming.

Active: 4h55m (every 1hr+ got let the hp rest)
Standby: 5h53m

Seems like batt life not bad.

Quickly update to 12.0.3.

Battery life is amazing! From just now 98% after using for 3 hours after charging to full!

Anyone came across matt film screen protector?

use the one for 9S that's the one i'm using now. the camera hole also nicely fit. since the fingerprint sensor is not on the touch screen so matt SP won't cause much problem. matt SP is definitely more anti-fingerprint than tempered glass

You mean the Matt SP for Mi Note 9S is same dimension as to X3?
