If one day there's an update, will i need to debloat again or it's going to be forever?
Is the debloat an app that is running in the background?

Is the camera quality decent enough?
Camera quality pretty decent for the price

If u uninstall the app then is gone forever. If disable might get reenabled back after update so u will need to disable it again

uninstall = will not come back even with updates.
disable = may come back when system think it needs to be active and through updates.

coming from OP5 camera, yes very big improvement!

I'm upgrading from Mimax 3 which is starting to show signs of failure and very sluggish.
i wonder will this be more snappy.

I need to open those phone apps very frequently, often 3 to 4 at the same time.
Don't know is it the HW or some data loading that is making it slow.
Browsing on Taobao app is a pain, damn lag.

For those using Blokada to block ads, it won't work by default. Need to go to the phone Settings, search for Private DNS and turn it to OFF. Then for maximum ad blocking, in Blokada ver 5, go to the Advanced tab (the icon looks like a cube), then click Goodbye Ads, then choose the Xiaomi blocklist. Rem to also set Blokada to Autostart, No restrictions in Battery Saver and lock the app in the Recents page

Reading the last few pages, look like there's a lot of problems

Any summary of what are the critical issues?
Are there global rom without the china apps?

I had many XM phones and most of the time, after removing, there will be some issues later or they may get reinstalled during updates.
The MIUI battery saving features also by default almost disable everything unless enabled one by one in both battery and other settings.
Set app to autostart will do. No need to tweak other settings.

blokada 4 here, didnt do any special setting, remember blokada 5 is a beta version, use 4 if u want stability.

you comparing toyota to f1 car sia.
mi max 3 launched with the budget sd 636, same as the redmi note 5.
870 is like 4-5x the performance

something to note, my phone randomly shut down 20 minutes ago, when i reboot, google play services keep stop working

Think blokada 5 has left beta already... it says it's faster than ver 4. i've been using ver 5 for many months on my huawei.. works perfectly fine. now it works fine after i set the Private DNS to off

on a side note, i realised there's no more auto call recording and the manual sux like hell, got this robotic voice warning the other party is recorded. Lucky thing ACR still works but not sure if it's just me, but the stock dialer doesn't turn the screen off when i put it at my face to talk..

I guess your area reception might be bad. Hence the phone keeps searching for signal

Anyways can try Settings > SIM cards and mobile networks > Select the SIM card > Preferred network type and change to prefer LTE
