It needs a profile tie to telco. Download the app and configure the device. You don’t even need a sim device as wireless sg can use ipad with no sim.

It should be okay now and my father was happily using his phone today. I'm glad he likes his POCO F3.

Depends on location, if like my local RC which is pretty much always closed but still have wireless@sg, only me and 1 other person sitting outside and maybe the housing unit directly above might be using, so super fast compare to library or interchange with hundreds of people fighting for bandwidth, especially when the access points they using is still the old 2.4ghz.

Nowadays the speed is 5mbps which is way faster than a decade ago at 512kbps

If want faster speed, probably better go to named hotspot like `Decathlon-Free` (around 25mbps, Stadium Blvd), `McDonalds WiFi` (untested), etc, speed depending on specific location limit and how busy the location are

wireless@sg or @sgx are now on 5ghz bw, at least in my area. super fast.

Haha since 3-4 years ago when mobile plan quota went up to 30GB then 40GB then 50GB, never bothered to connect to WiFi out of home already. Only WiFi when back home. Data cannot finish haha

F3 is more than capable to do all of the above. Heck, it can even play Genshin Impact well.

F4 is going to use SD870 SOC, same as F3, so save some money and get the F3.

The Poco F3 vibration is quite bad. Completely cannot hear it when people call in. I was aware phone calling was placed at a lower priority for this phone design, when they omitted the proximity sensor. But surely they didn't have to go one step further to nerf the vibration for incoming calls.

Have now set up the alerts with smart watch, though I cant help but feel that this is completely unnecessary.

One more thing....if your workplace gives you additional $$$ for handphone every month, expect lots of incoming calls no exceptions.

U have to remember this phone is only 300+ dollars and not 700 or even 1000 dollars

$300+ vs $1200+. Something has to go, right? Overall it is a very good phone. Good display, good SOC, these are the most important things imo.

The idea to fake vibration using sound sounds ingenious. I'd check it out too. haha.

My Poco X3 is cheaper and it has proper vibration. So does the Xiaomi Redmi 1S, if anyone still remembers that one which is less than 200.
