Xiaomi Global Store Singapore on Shopee listed 8/256 for 999. My guess is that it will probably be lower.

Agreed but personally as a Xiaomi user, I still find it hard to accept paying over 1k for a phone running MIUI, the quirks of the OS and the advertisement situation are acceptable at lower price tiers but not at the 4 digit price level, at this pricing I would go for OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro or Galaxy S20.

Thats why i said just grab china set... KNN now K30 pro zoom edition 256gb/8GB only $749 after coupons.. who in the right mind will buy K30 pro standard at $999..:s13:

MIUI is ok as i said before only noobs see advertisements;) go mi10 pro thread u see got how many complain see ads..:o.. dun know how to use said dun know how to use... same as those ads in apps... dun tell me iphone and other andriod phone apps no ads in apps... dun be naive... want to get ride of ADS in apps buy full version , pay for it or think of a way to bypass..if dun know dun blame MIUI or other thing just blame ownself incompetent;)

If u cannot taihan pls sell away yr mi phone and get other brands.. period

I have been using MIUI since Xiaomi entered Singapore market in 2014 and just to be clear I do know the steps to disable all ads in system apps, I don't see any ads in my Xiaomi phones. I am just saying from a point of a user who gets a Xiaomi phone and just wish to use it out of the box and then they start to see ads, I don't see anything wrong with their concerns on that. There's no need to get personal here, I am just stating my POV. Cheers.

i not getting personal... even if a new user use xiaomi phone.. during initally setup already got options to turn of ads... so it is idiot proof... its even easy if u pop over over old xiaomi phone using mi mover.. dun even need to do any settings... Its same as some pc apps and game.. when installating they will auto tick extra programs to install in yr pc... if u stupid enough to everything default and click wo seeing nobody is going to blame only yrself correct? i also just stating my POV..
