Are you coming from an X3? Personally I feel X3 is a good phone by itself and you will definitely miss the high refresh rate if you switch to F2 Pro. Other than that, in areas like performance and cameras, F2 Pro should be ahead from the X3, battery life I think X3 will be better, currently on latest on Android 11 MIUI 12 build and battery life isn't great. Personally haven't got a 5G mobile plan so cannot confirm the 5G performance on the F2 Pro.

Looking for a secondary phone that doesnt lag in today's apps. Gaming is a bonus but not priority. Perhaps photos > games.

Just heard that X3 Pro is coming soon so perhaps might wait a bit longer.

Using F2 Pro as my main phone, no issues with lags at all. I can't speak for X3 but given the 120Hz refresh rate, it shouldn't be an issue as well. Can give the X3 a try at Xiaomi stores, I think they no longer carry F2 Pro already. Maybe the upcoming X3 Pro will be good but too early to tell also :s13:

Doesn't happen to mine at all although i do feel the animation is not as smooth as before and while it's an improvement over the previous one, it's still bugs ridden. Mine also EU but i did enable developer's setting and change all 3 animations to 0.5x as i've always done once i get my phone so you might wanna try that and it might help.

Might be getting 12.5 soon also haha

I can restart to make the animations fast again. But one week need to do a couple of times is very annoying.

For developer options, now I am trying all animations set to off. However, I am using full screen hence the back to home screen animation is still there.

Yeah after i read your post, i realize mine also stutters most of the time if i don't reboot it and though it's fast, it's not smooth at all. I don't think there will be a fix for MIUI 12 right now for all the issues it has, i think the fix will come in MIUI 12.5 where the bloat will be reduce and backend performance and battery efficiency will improve, probably adding new bugs then subsequently fixed. Wonder if we'll get MIUI 13 though.

I really can't stand it when animation stutters all the times on such a powerful device. MIUI 12.5 Global stable ROM should be 3-4 months away. It should be out in May or June based on their announcement. Might delay also based on past experience. China ROM stable will only start rolling out in April, then global rom was said to release in Q2. MIUI13 shouldn't be a issue if based on xiaomi's track records however this device is more tricky because POCO is a now an individual sub-brand. Hence, we don't know if POCO have any plan for their own customised OS/ROM.

hi all, my poco f2 switch app button"square" doesnt work. it only will show blank. anyone experience this?

The multitasking button (square) doesn't work with third party launcher in latest update. Need to use default Poco launcher. If still cannot, need to choose default launcher as Poco launcher in the settings then restart.

Does anyone here know whether there's a way to rollback Poco F2 Pro to MIUI 11?
Updated from MIUI 11 to MIUI 12 on my Poco F2 Pro and now my phone is full of bugs and it's really annoying me. When using certain applications like telegram/Instagram, the phone suddenly locks itself and I have to unlock it again, and everything on the phone reloads. Then there's the issue of Android Auto where when I use my phone to navigate the maps keep on reloading and sometimes the navigation just stops!
I already reset my phone once but all the bugs are still on my phone. I have always been a fan of Xiaomi but this update is making me really angry and upset, with no word from Xiaomi. How can this ROM be called a stable ROM?! It has been 2 weeks and there has not even been any update from Xiaomi to address any of the issues!

Go XDA and check ba. I'm just waiting for MIUI 12.5 to solve the bugs if not then i'll reset and if still cannot, i'll show Xiaomi middle finger and move back to Samsung lol

I recall you need to unlock bootloader (request approval to unlock takes days I believe), then use Mi Flash Tool to flash the MIUI 11 ROM. It will take a while for sure especially waiting for the unlock approval.

Don't get your hopes too high that 12.5 will fix any of this. Even if they do, it will introduce more bugs for sure, knowing Xiaomi's track record. Plus now Poco being an "independent" brand, the recent global MIUI 12.5 launch didn't even provide the timeline for Poco devices.

Read that the phone will get 12.5 in Q2, not sure if it's official but the way it's worded seemed like it is.
