Tried but no use. Google play services is system app and it will auto update even u turn off auto update in Playstore. Only 1 way is to block Playstore to access internet.

last evening there’s a gplay and gpay update...
after hearing so much, i decided to put a hold on both updates... lol
How did you hold the updates? Mine keep updating when ever Playstore connects to internet.
tested with singtel, mainly in jurong area & vivo
goto settings in play store and change it to don't auto update apps...
my google play services is treated as an app in play store...
Its weird as for me, it always auto update googl play services. I have already change the setting to not auto update in Playstore.

So i guess it's either MIUI or MIUI 12 is unstable or they have some apps or setting that clashes with it.
cant be miui right? cos other brands also kena leh...

Just use the same email and check the status. Last time i got Play Store issues, i email around 10pm they call me up 5 mins later from US lolol. Follow up for 3 days in a row on email after that and problem solved.

I've just upgraded to 12.2.6 as well, but no chance to test yet.

It was working as of yesterday. Mine EU rom so not yet. Seems i was mistaken mine was supposed to be 12.2.6 but i could have sworn that was the number i saw before. Let me know once you tested it haha. Since 12.2.6 doesn't seem to bring much to the table, i'll hold off a bit until i have to update.

Managed to get it working again.
Not sure which exactly that made it work.
But here's what I did.
1) Uninstall google play service.
2) clear cache
3) uninstall GPay
4) clear cache for the original google pay app.
5) install GPay again.
6) had to reverify all the cards
