Say I have a 3month contract for another temp job currently.

If spf gave me a confirmation to start before I finish my 3month contract, do I have to break the contract??? Or is there anyway I can "bargain" spf to delay my start date????

If you got informed them about your 3month contract during your selection assessment, there's a chance for you to delay your start date if they accept you.

They should just be as serious as any other applicant. regardless of gender

anyone knows the percentage of rejection every year or like the number of intakes etc?

There's no fixed number
HR which processed us last time said that the number varies every batch and they will accept anyone who is found suitable which theoretically meant that everyone could get rejected if nobody is suitable

@kxsprings, can't PM you yet since haven't hit 10 posts, but how was your whole process like including the rejection? also, any idea if they care about underweight applicants since all these can actually be trained? :)

Did you check out their website? I think one important thing they look at is whether you are a self starter.

Direct-Entry Sergeant:
Minimally 5 GCE ‘O’ Level Credits*
* This includes Diplomas from local Polytechnics, International Baccalaureate (IB), NUS High School, NAFA, LASELLE and ITE Technical Engineering; GCE ‘A’ Level certificates; Higher NITEC or NITEC certificates; and GCE ‘O’ Level certificates (at least 5 credits).

Not in SPF yet still currently in the selection process but that was what the HR told us when we asked
Underweight-wise I'm not sure but I was at the borderline between underweight and acceptable but passed that portion of the selection (called the hotline to check)

Skills can be trained, but the character of a person isn't easily changed. If you would like to join SPF, ensure you have the right mindset/attitude/character that is in line with what a police officer is required to be :D

I mean all this waiting... I have to get a job man. During sa I just graduated so I didn't have a job. But I can't wait for another 2-3months without a job. And I cant break a short term contract if spf accepts me to start.
