Hi guys for spf what's the hours work done per month AVG ???
For des.
Looked up for auxiliary and said need 420h/m minimum or they would reassess your like employment
So normally DES after training will go to NPC and work there, unless you get selected to other places like Police Coast Guard or Traffic Police etc.
So in a NPC, you work day and night shifts. 12 hours is the mininum but it can stretch even longer than that.
Day shift - Report at 7 - 7.30am ish. You draw your equipment & briefing. 8 start shift and you patrol whole day until 7.30pm where you return your stuff and debrief until 8+.
This is standard. But depending on which NPCs you are posted too, some are quieter, some are hectic. You can have a last minute case at 7.29pm and you are expected to go there and you can go home very late.
Night shift - Usually report at 6.30pm then draw equipment & briefing then start at 7.30pm. You will work until next day 8am. Again, some nights are quiet, some nights are busy.
Then you will have 2 days off. Cycle repeats.
Sometimes you have cases that you need to follow up/write a folder and reports. This means coming back on your off days at times to finish up work.
So in a month you will mostly work 14/15 days only. There will be one day in the month, on your off day dedicated for training. Means one off day is burnt, so you have to report back to HQ for training, like refreshing up on policing stuff and weapon handling etc.
Source - Well I used to be a NPC officer (NS) for 1+ years. This is what me and the regulars go through.
