HAHAHA guys ****. I got it wrong minimum is to clock 240hrs/month.
But yeah just comparing pros and cons of aux and spf. Just wondering if aux actually do get paid higher if counted on hourly rate compared to spf.
Anyone here recently gone for the DEI panel interview and willing to share how it went?
Im just curious, anyone with a tattoo but not visible and still accepted in the force?
I do know that they dont accept animals or demons tattoo, but yeah, anyone here have been accepted with non visible tattoos?

Hi guys for spf what's the hours work done per month AVG ???
For des.
Looked up for auxiliary and said need 420h/m minimum or they would reassess your like employment
420h/m?!? I read that as 420hr per month. Isn't that like 14hr/day everyday?
Based on what I know, GRF does 12hr shift. The cycle goes morning-night-off-off i think. 8am to 8pm for morning and 8pm to 8am for night. Expect longer hours cos of briefing, drawing equipment and debrief etc. Not sure about others. Correct me if i'm wrong.
I don't know about DEI but for DES is defo not 420h/month = 14h/day cus my friend is a DES and based on her instaposts she mcm got like 1-2 days free per week and fireball is right, avg shift is 12h + the time for brief/debrief/equipment
So normally DES after training will go to NPC and work there, unless you get selected to other places like Police Coast Guard or Traffic Police etc.
So in a NPC, you work day and night shifts. 12 hours is the mininum but it can stretch even longer than that.
Day shift - Report at 7 - 7.30am ish. You draw your equipment & briefing. 8 start shift and you patrol whole day until 7.30pm where you return your stuff and debrief until 8+.
This is standard. But depending on which NPCs you are posted too, some are quieter, some are hectic. You can have a last minute case at 7.29pm and you are expected to go there and you can go home very late.
Night shift - Usually report at 6.30pm then draw equipment & briefing then start at 7.30pm. You will work until next day 8am. Again, some nights are quiet, some nights are busy.
Then you will have 2 days off. Cycle repeats.
Sometimes you have cases that you need to follow up/write a folder and reports. This means coming back on your off days at times to finish up work.
So in a month you will mostly work 14/15 days only. There will be one day in the month, on your off day dedicated for training. Means one off day is burnt, so you have to report back to HQ for training, like refreshing up on policing stuff and weapon handling etc.
Source - Well I used to be a NPC officer (NS) for 1+ years. This is what me and the regulars go through.
But were you selected? Cause i cleared my panel and my medical and also soc physical assesment which only those pass the medical will get to that stage..hmmm
From what I read, Certis PT pay is $12/h, $18/h if exceed 8h of work a day. I would say it depends on how much you work. Assuming you work 8h/day, 6day/wk,
$12/h x 8h x 6 days x4 wks = $2,304
For FT, they pay ~$2.6k or more for armed role, direct-entry Cpl/Sgt, not including bonus.
When I start w/ the SPF in 2 yrs time (diploma by then), I expect $2.2k - $2.3k only. If i get like $2.4k or more i would prob feel lucky.
But seriously? Looking at money? If you are planning on a policing career you might wanna reconsider? No offense here. Still, moving on...
APO and PO have different job scope. At the end of the day, I think the you should first ans the qn "is money more impt than the job achievement/satisfaction etc?"
My thought process is like.
Okay so what I applied for is Aetos(medical done, waiting for results atm). And from what I asked around and researched on, spf DES does patrols, and taking care of npp for their main job scopes. Working hours will be like 12h shifts, no OT pay at all, rotating shift, pay based on website and people's exp, it's 2.2k-2.4k before cpf deduction. Correct me if I'm wrong.
For A (aux), main job scope will be patrol. Pay is 3k before cpf deduction. There will be OT pay as well. Working hours are pretty much similar since minimum is 240hrs/m which is around 12 a day for 5days a week.
Of course I did plan to enter spf in hopes of getting promoted to an inspector from DES and eventually be in the investigative dept. I wanted to enter spf for its career advancement/achievement/satisfaction.
But then, I know promotion comes rarely, it is hard to promote and you probably have to work more than 5years to get a promotion. Some people have different experiences, maybe promotion might come early, but most people take 5+years? Correct me if I'm wrong
But Yeap, since spf and aetos pretty much does the same thing for des, thought process is: why not join aux, earn more, do close to the same things, use that money/time to get a part time degree, try to get into spf by DEI.
I mean my mindset now from research and from my po/app friends that they basically have pretty much the same job scopes. I mean if I'm getting it wrong I need an explanation on how different the job scopes are.
For regular enlistment, they mention the stuffs to bring for the training like white tshirt, singlet, etc. Do we buy them ourselves, or they are just listed as items but will be issued to us?

Ahh... I see you r trying to aim for officer. I'm not those smart kid who can study and all so I'll just stick with DES and see how far I'll go. I guess we just have diff POV in terms of where we wanna go.
Promotion wise I asked before and I rmb it's ~5yrs, but depends on performance and all too. I'm not sure if rank will go up cos technically there's 3 grades for Sgt before you go SSSgt but def will have some sort of pay raise.
And I agree with Tachanka on the explanation on diff between APO and SPF. In fact, that's the reason why I chose SPF despite many people telling me just go get a degree get an office job or one that pays high. What's the point of a higher pay if I don't find joy in what I do and see no purpose in life? -_-
