Hello. I applied for Direct Entry Sgt on 19th Aug. Checked status recently and it says shortlisted. Am I suppose to be expecting a call or email from them soon?

what happens/what does one do in selection assessment?

For me as follows, verification of documents(about 1hr+) +physical check by officers(10-15mins) followed by psychometric test (1-2hrs)
then panel interview(depends) end by 3pm

The above mentioned is before covid.

DEI is 9 months stay in no confinement period

hello! mine was in the late morning..... same likewise i think i did badly too

like can tell he was not satisfied with some of my answers and my leadership experience are mostly in JC so he wanted more recent leadership stuff

How was it like over Zoom? One by one go in private chat or like round table free for all and can hear everybody?

Anyway, just go in with a reverse psychology mindset that you won't be selected (which is true, after all there are so many candidates that the odds are really against you). Once you realise you don't "need" the job, generally you will relax during the interviews.

Can see that his not very impressed.
I was so nervous I dropped my phone (used for the video call)

twice cause my hand shaking

But oh well. It was a good experience
I'm happy to be even considered for a interview after trying dk how many times.

The guy keep asking me why I wanna apply DEI when I have a good job... And keep grill on that and the leadership stuff

Yeah it was individual! Same could tell he wasn't very impressed as i did not have much experience in official leadership roles in uni but was mainly my student council role in JC and he also asked alot like what do you expect from this role, will you be able to handle, and about the current affairs

Thanks. Yeah they love to ask those 2 questions because there are really many officers leaving so they want to test your resolve. That's where being relaxed help because you will come across as more determined and convincing.

One of my fellow vsc friend managed to pass tea sesh even tho she has no uni ldrship stuff only her jc council
It won't be a veto as long as you can prove to him that you deserve the chance

Are you passionate enough? They wont really offer u a sgt post with your certification but to test you instead. The questions are very easy to answer just need to be smart

Does anybody actually know what’s the rough % of people who actually make it to rd3 for DEI?

And what’s SPF’s stand on BMI? My current BMI is 32, but I have no issues with getting Guards gold (>90) for IPPT
