android noob here, switched to blackberry (which is an awfully closed platform), so i'm new to customisation. loving the freedom i have with the UI. my main homescreen:

Eh...I don't think the app is particularly difficult to use

I got it to work the first time...just that I wasn't very pleased with the performance hit on my phone

Use apps like Battery Indicator or Batteryminder.
Root not needed...please. GO BUY YOUR ANDROID PHONE FIRST.

The problem is you're taking donkey years to even get one....don't waste urs or ours time, you learn NOTHING until you buy an Android phone.

sadly .. you can only remove those with rooting..

so now after u updated fw from our andriod phone pc suite can wipe all all telco wares?

Try this.. I haven't tried it myself personally but this might work.

Root Helper - Enable (Settings > Advanced)
HomeHelper - Enable (Settings > Advanced)
HomeHelper Block Home - Enable (Settings > Advanced > HomeHelper)
Block Home in other apps (Settings > Advanced > HomeHelper)
HomeHelper's Launcher - Set to your launcher (LauncherPro for me) (Settings > Advanced > HomeHelper)
Select System Home - WL HomeHelper (Settings > Advanced > HomeHelper)

Finally gave in to temptations and bought widgetlocker. used the above method and walah! Home button is blocked from unlocking the phone! loving it!
