For HP CM1415fnw toner

Black 2k page yield
CMY each 1.3k page yield

For Fuji Xerox CM205fw

Black 2k page yield
CMY each 1.4k page yield

Starting toner all provided is half regardless of brand.

Lets take black for example. 1000/30 = 33 mths (ard 2+ years) then you need to change.

Toners cartridges contain powder not ink thus it would not dry up or evaporate.

Thanks for the clarification.

Seem like according to my usage, 100% confirm laser printer is the best choice for me. In 2 years plus no need worry about ink issue......

Yup! Unless you like to change printer frequently :s13::s13:

Laser printers are meant for long-term usage like 3-4 years

I would appreciate it if you could define the printout capacity for high, mid and low in terms of prints per month.

As for SLED, they do have drum. Currently only Fuji Xerox have this technology and their drums are under warranty.

high, mid or low as per determine by the manfacturer, as i beileve they will use better parts - gear in the model so you do not need to be too concern about the number of years of warrenty for the parts.

Manufacturers normally put high, med, low as recommended page yield. Thus, it would be hard for me to gauge without your monthly page yield.

Recommend a laser for both colour and black prints, budget $200?

saw 1250c Colour-capable LED Printer Product Details
and Aficio™SP C240DN, both $150...

but hard to find compatible toner.. :(

For these two models, even their original toners are hard to find also :(

Your budget very hard to find one..

Two lower priced models

Samsung CLP-365w at $288 (forget what free gift)

Fuji Xerox CP105b at $329 (free $40 ntuc vouchers + free additional black toner)

I currently running a HP 2600N colour laser. It got it quite some time back and now I am wondering if it is better if I get a new one. I have probably replaced the whole set of toners once and now I have to replace them soon.

1. Mono or Colour
COLOUR LASER

2. Print, Print Scan Copy (3in1) or Print Scan Copy Fax (4in1)
PRINT

3. Printing capacity per month
20-80

4. Budget
less than 1k

5. Other extra requirement like wireless, iphone printing etc.
Network, duplex if not too expensive

I do graphic design so colour output is an important consideration.

Hi my Win 7 somehow does not detect my USB connected brother 2040 anyhow.

So i guess it's time to get a new printer.
Recommend me a mono laser printer. With wireless capabilities (is this the same as network enabled?), auto duplex.

can i ask.. does all mfc printers scan's output in pdf ? Would like to have a printer that matches

1. mono laser (prefer laser due to low usage per mth)
2. auto-duplex (if budget allows)
3. wireless

speed is not important and don't really need fax..

Thanks..

Currently in the market, we do have oem toners for models that can do duplex scanning.

The two models are Fuji Xerox M255df and Samsung SCX-4833FR.

As they are newly lauched, we do not have compatible toners for it yet. However, we should be able to hear the good news in 2-3 months time.

Fuji Xerox M255df is the newer of the two models.

Fuji Xerox compatible toners are generally cheaper cause no drum.

Try to manual download the driver for windows 7 from samsung website. Yours should not be a issue as this model is a new model and confirm can support windows 7.

The only issue seems that it doesn't support thick cards over 160gsm.
Sometimes it is nice to print up to 220gsm cards. :(

Hi,
It's time for me to buy a new printer and off late been reading tons of threads on this. Here is my requirement:

1) Mostly b&w printing (upto 200 pages a month),
2) Colour photo printing (once in a while)
3) Features: prefer laserjet printer, print-copy-scan; duplex not so important but no harm if i end up paying a lot.
4) budget no issue. more concerned about operational costs

A few questions:

Would it be better to buy one laserjet colour printer with all these features? If yes, does laserjet use its colour toner if I only print b&w?

Would it be better to buy two printers: one inexpensive laserjet (networked or USB) just for printing b&w. I saw entry model brother at challenger with a free additional toner (although low yield). And another inkject (canon pixma?) for the other features (colour print, scan).

Should I wait for the next PC show?

Best regards,
D

If your 200+ b/w printing is mostly two-sided, then yes it would be better to get two printers. One laser print only just duplex and an inkjet. If not, just go for colour laser cause you will feel stupid to buy the ink cartridges for your 5-10 pages colour print when it dries up.

PC show at 22 nov. If you are looking at brother, dont bother their comex show offer not good at all.

I would highly recommend Canon as it has always relied on their print quality to stay as one of big brands in the market.

CANON MF8380CDW (print, scan, copy, fax, double-sided, wireless)

On-going promotion - $1099
(I am able to give you a discount)

Black Toner - $200 (3.4k prints)
Cyan Toner - $190 (2.9k prints)
Yellow Toner - $190 (2.9k prints)
Magenta Toner - $190 (2.9k prints)
