It is very common for brother printer thus the pricing.

Anyway the positive light is you still can do return and swap a printer if you buy at reputable stores.

Just get 1x good colour laser. With your printing volume, inkjet will kill you not via inks but via the breakdown rate.

Get Fuji Xerox CM305df $799

For Canon is MF8380cdw $1099 (the $700+ one no duplex)

Brother Cheapest at $598 but you can read from below about the common problem with brother print out.

wow, 799, its expensive.

my sister used up 1500 pieces of paper in half a year, so that's roughly 300 pages a month according to my sister's usage(printing word docs, colored lecture slides).

will a regular inkjet mfc do? if so, any reliable injets to recommend? 799 is too expensive.

need duplex, wifi, print scan copy, compatible ink?
