Currently found BROTHERS MFC-7860DW going at $348 at COURTS (UP: $448)

Wondering what my options are... Any recommendation? Appreciate comments.

I would strongly encourage M255z from Fuji Xerox

reason:
1. Sharper print out quality (1200 dpi vs brother 600 dpi)
2. Faster printing speed (30ppm vs 24ppm) Print speed is an indicter on how advance the technology is.
3. Cheaper consumable cost. (3.6cents vs brother 4.3 cents)
4. better service cause next business response + fix the printer within 1 hour vs brother non existent service team

Basically was looking at these 2 printers:
1. Fuji Xerox P255/P355D
2. Brother HL2270DW

May i know which is better in terms of quality, reliability, and costs?
Have never used Brother and Fuji Xerox before.

2. Print or Print Scan Copy (3in1)
3. low to medium usage
4. less than 300, hopefully can get a reliable one because the canon lbp5050n i used failed so many times even after 1-to-1 exchange
5. Duplex and network ready. Must be able to work with both Mac and Windows OS

Anyone uses those inkjet photo papers (glossy and matt) on your laser printer (in particular Fuji Xerox)?

I've tried and actually print out is quite good. However, I am not sure if there will be any negative effect on my printer and if the printout will last over the time?

I tried Canon Glossy type photo paper.

Go for Fuji Xerox P255dw or Brother HL-2270dw. If you need print quality, take Fuji Xerox.

Laser printers dont look very nice when printing photos. So do not expect inkjet photo qualities.

You could look at Fuji Xerox CM205b

Manual duplex with usb connection

Warranty 4 years on-site

Waaaa in long run may harm your printer. The printout sure will last a long time cause the powder is fused onto your photo paper not like inkjet.

If your gsm falls between 60-163gsm then you wont face paper jam. But it may hurt your drum. Since it is fine, dont worry since warranty will cover it anyway.

Perfect printer.

Print mono only duplex and wirelss with 4 years warranty.

Hi All, need recommendations for on a printer for the below needs.

1. Colour - word documents (80%) pictures (20%)
2. Print, Print Scan Copy (3in1) - can still scan when ink/toner empty is a huge plus
3. low frequency (sometimes 1-2 months without print) but will print 50-100 sheets when I do.
4. As low as possible, however reliability that I can print when I need to is important
5. Duplex - must, able to connect to multiple PC via router/wireless etc is a plus
