Yes, it's a super ideal..david told me that he has a 0.43 colour e, vs1 to change for this..now waiting for him to send over the pics..but is it worth it? Gosh..super stressed..maybe I'm just too superstitious...do u still have ur images of ur diamond? I mean I can just "bluff" myself by using photoshop to delete the spots..haha..so ya..

Hi,

As most of the bros here will say, you really have GOOD diamond here.

Cosmetic wise, don't think of the picture. You saw it in person and the shine and sparkle interest you and your partner, that is what important, after it was mounted and you started using it, no one will tell you that your diamond have inclusions nor will ask you to show them the H&A image ;-), but rather will comment on the shine and sparkle.

About diamond value against it's inclusion, I guess it was carefully choosen among the diamond of it's class. "Best of it's class" so to speak but then again, it is your hard earned money, you have all the rights to choose what is best for it. Try to compare it online, you will find that even some H&A that they're selling similar to the price that you got have more inclusions on it. You can compare among all the images posted here, but I am telling you "no two diamonds are alike" ;-)

.46ct is really a Good Size, with is proportions it will look bigger and comparable to a typical round cut .5ct diamond.

If you are willing to go below the specs on the same budget, F VS2 or G VS1 you can have a diamond with a better H&A Image and a bit bigger than .46ct

I doubt so... even if you can, the Cut won't be good.. retail chain store prices usually higher

I finally gotten the pics for my inital purchase but am so sad when i saw the spots so hopefully i can change to a diamond which is more to my liking? David was very nice as he told us that he can let us look for another diamond after mentioning my concerns to him. I actually do mind for the spots in the hearts, i tot it would be unlucky,I'm just very "pan dang" when comes to this because I treasure my love very much so I dont want anything bad to happen. So may any seniors here can comment if i should change? Haiz..should ask for the asets images and hearts and arrows images before purchase..Is this possible? I want to prevent from making mistake because I recommend JP to my guy and gave me the budget and I choose whatever I like and his budget kept getting higher so ended with getting a ring at 3.5K where he initially gave me like 1K? So I hope to choose the right diamond. Please HELP ME...Thanks
Here are the links but i can't post the direct as i'm a newbie :

The spots on the hearts you see is probably caused by the inclusion located at the middle of the diamond. On the Ideal and Aset pictures, you can see a small spot near the middle of the diamond. That's the inclusion you are seeing in the Hearts which is being reflected on the other facets too. From a "pan dang" person to another "pan dang" person, I'll consider changing it if I can't sleep over it =:p

Totally agree, if you really can't live with the spots, better ask them for another piece.

Its once a lifetime thing. Only buy when u feel shiok, not shiok dont buy and regret for the rest of your married life~

Hi guys,

Have been reading up on the thread. Can I ask a quick question?
Under the clarity characteristics in the GIA cert, is it normal for a higher clarity diamond (e.g. VVS2) to have more types of inclusions as compared to lower clarity grade, say VS2?

I have seen a VVS2 diamond with more clarity characteristics (e.g. feather, internal graining, pinpoint) as compared to a VS2 which only have cloud? Is this a concern here for the VVS2? Or it just means that despite the VVS2 having more type of clarity characteristics, it is still better than a VS2 with cloud?

Hope you guys can advise. Thanks.

It can happen.. after all, clarity characteristics only identifies the type of inclusion it is. It doesn't state like how many or bad it is.. The VVS2 has 3 kinds of inclusion, but all 3 can be very minor. Whereas the VS2 has only 1 kind of inclusion, but can have a few of them in different areas.

Rule of thumb is the more types of inclusions there are, it's very likely that each would be more minor :)
