yup they just did... sharing here with all the bros and those who needs help with diamond selection.
should be of good help to all
not just to buy diamond based on cert. aset scope is very important.

I remember them showing me a Triple Excellent diamond against their Super Ideal diamond.. It's even more obvious in person. It really shows you can't just buy a diamond based on the certificate alone.

Is it really not worth getting one from Tiff & Co?

How much should I be expecting to pay for a very simple solitaire?

You need to be more specific with your question or else dont think anyone can answer your question

JP also does customisation of wedding bands so what you can do is show them designs of bands you prefer, your budget and get them to customise for you.. That is what me and my SO are doing... And I can have the best of both worlds: mini solasferas in my wedding bands and a brellia for engagement ring..! But you will have to give them more time since they are really busy.. I'm doing mine a good 6 to 8 months in advance.. Very kiasu... =p

yea i already have my own design..but was thinking if they were recommended due to their nice selection of diamonds..then probably its not really a big factor in my case..

It depends what you want them to do with JP

For my case, I love the Brellia.. I had a custom design that I drew for them, and this was the procedure:

1.) Discussed the pro's and con's of the design.
2.) Suggestions of way to improve the design.
3.) They created a 3d image of 95%+ accuracy to the real thing, this was fantastic as you know how your ring can look like exactly with what kind of diamond.
4.) After deciding, next step is crafting and confirmation of the wax model.
5.) Crafting of the real ring.
6.) Final ring was excellent and way pass my expectations :D

Timeframe is anywhere from 1 month to 2 months depending on what design. Their crafting is not done locally like the retailers do here.. so it can take slightly longer... but it was definitely worth the wait :)

My design took more than 2 months from the date I chose my diamond.

2 months is a very good guess. Also depends on how busy are they.

You have to give them the customised designs yourself. That was what Jann told me.

They are known for their quality in their diamonds and also their craftsmanship in customization..

It will depend on what you want to do...

The price of their bands are defintiely cheaper than branded..
Craftsmanship quality is good..
IMO, what's most important is that you get to have a 3d imaging of your design for customisation (especially if your planning to customize)

Your ring drawing looks quite plain and simple (no offense)...
But in the 3d pictures... it's a whole different story...

Looks simple but somehow very unique at the same time... Very nice!! Classy too :)

You may submit it for certification by yourself if you are worried.
