Oh yes. This is not a 57 faceted round. My bad! See the facet structure on the certificate, there is an extra facet on the bezel.
Should be the perfect rose range (73 facets). HCA score will not be applicable then.

Omg zzzzzzzz.. I didn't even know that it wasn't a normal round diamond.. i thought a higher facet diamond will be more sparkly because got more reflectors on the diamond?

Perfect rose is very similar to Brilliant Rose with poorer light return and looser certificate of IGI.
Buy already then don't sad riaos. If not good enough for proposal ring then u can try reset it into a 4 dian jing and get another ring.

thank you bro, reset it costs additional $$ again...
i think tonight i go leehwa see if can upgrade to better diamond..

You can use the scopes even if it is mounted. The only thing you cant see is the hearts. If you were to choose one, ideal scope is the most important.

okok so i save some cost and buy ideal scope only? quite exp leh.
besides online any shop got sell in SG?

Sadly it's only available online. If you're buying a scope, you should take the Aset scope instead. It reveals more than the Ideal scope.

Need urgent help.

A few nights ago my fiance's diamond dropped out from her ring that we bought from Jannpaul. The 4 legs are fully intact and she didn't knock onto anything.

We tried to find the missing diamond at home, retrace her path that day, and even her workplace but couldn't find her diamond.

Should we lodge a police report about this? Can we go back to Jannpaul and ask them for compensation for the missing diamond?

We paid about $8k+ for the diamond ring and she wore it about 5 months only.

I would advise for an exchange to their Destinee Ideal H&A if they can't refund you. I estimate the price to be less than 5k for about the same carat weight of E/F VS1/VS2.

You should go back to JannPaul and see what they can do for you. If your fiance never drop or knock the ring before, there must be something wrong with the workmanship since it is still less than one year.

Sorry to hear about this piece of news. I think this is definitely not a police case. It all depends on what JP is willing or can do for you but since this took place before the lemon law, it might be hard for you to prove that the setting was not properly done, leading to the diamond falling out.

Have you tried contacting them? What did they say?
I got my ring for over a year and just recently sent it back for polish and plating, together with a prongs check.
Only scratches from daily wear and tear. A simple replating turns it back brand new.

There was once when my wifey got her ring tugged on her dress and I had to take it out carefully. If she didn't notice and pulled it out really hard, it might really loosen the diamond.

This is one subtle way which I can think of which might loosen the diamond.

To my knowledge, I have tried finding jewelry insurance in Singapore, but it seems like it is only available in US.

Upgrading it will incur even more costs.
From my knowledge, the upgrading must be twice the price and with hidden terms & conditions. It wouldn't guarantee you a better diamond either.

To add on for the Ideal Scope: I have a set which I can lend it to you. If you want we can meet up at my workplace near raffles. Interested in examining the Perfect Rose.

4 dian jing (Dowry) normally are bought by Groom's side of family, see if your parents want to take over for you :s13:

It's actually our wedding bands and not the engagement ring. Jann is currently getting their craftsman to rework it and he assures that the changes can be done. It's not really engraving but rose gold with enamel. Hopefully the bands will be much better in two weeks' time. Will post pics once I collect them. :)

Whats enamel? Never heard of that in a ring before.

What's the difference?

The Ideal scope shows all light return in a diamond, which is the red area.
The ASET scope shows the light return too, but breaks it down into 2 colors (green and red). In the ASET scope, the red shows intense light return and the green shows less intense light return. Whereas on the Ideal scope, any form of light return will be red. Basically, the ASET scope reveals more info on the diamond..

What you can see on the ASET scope may not be reflected in the Ideal scope, but what you can see in the Ideal scope will all be reflected in the ASET scope.

Anyone here bought the Angel cut before? What is the analysis of it and how does it compare with the Brellia?

Main difference is just the shapes.. Brellia is cushion shape, Angel is squarish shape. Both have 8 hearts/arrows. The Angel has more facets though..

I am very interested in their square cuts as well.
They created this short video for me. Hope it helps you in your selection.

Well said! Technically, you don't need the Ideal scope when you have the Aset scope.
