Lazare is a branded diamond just like hearts on fire. Just like hearts on fire, they dun give the scopes to analyze the diamond.. so only can judge based on cert. JP shows the diamond scopes and is still lower price. For value for money, it'll be JP. More info + cheaper

Also, how does the depth affect the performance?

When going down JP to see the diamond, when I look through the scope/loupe what should I look out for?

Also, we can only request for the scope that people have been posting here after we made the purchase?

Finally..How long does it take for the diamond to be ready after we make the purchase?

Visited JP today. Any other similar private jewelers that sells high quality diamonds? Visited those in stores and after being educated by the staff at JP, realised that what they sell in stores for the non branded ones are sub-par.

Looking at 0.45-0.49
D VS2 or better... H&A of course.

I have been reading this forum for the past 2 weeks, and finally took the courage to go down to JP 2 days ago. I went there as a walk-in customer at 5.30pm and was told that their last appt was actually 5pm. Therefore, they get me to write down my name and contact and told me to make an appt before coming down. When i was about to do so, Ranjit came and took over. i must admit that he is a nice and friendly guy who is willing to serve his customer even after their office hours I was glad to be serve by him and was impress by his professionalism.

I had paid a deposit of 1k for the following diamond without settings,

Shape and cutting style: Round Brilliant

Carat weight: 0.71
Colour Grade: E
Clarity Grade: VS2
Cut Grade: Excellent

Clarity: Feather
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None

Will i only be able to get the scopes after i had made the full payment?

I bought several diamonds from JannPaul before. first was my engagement then the "4 dian zhuan". However, find that they still lacking some aftersales service. Went back to get ring polish and etc... felt like I am not so welcomed.


Took my business to Canary instead. They have a larger collection of ideal diamonds imo, I find JP collection very limited.

I received mine a couple weeks after I placed my deposit. They give the scopes for all their super ideal cuts.

Minimum HCA is up to you.. usually the 1.X ones are fine.
Not sure how depth affect the performance, but depth will affect the visual size of the diamond. If it is too deep, it will make the diamond look smaller.

They will explain to you what to look out for in the scopes. or you can upload the scopes for experts here to see.

For the rest of ur qns, I'm not sure Maybe other bros can help out

I think you should be able to get 0.3++ carat depends on clarity and colour. Why not just schedule an appointment with them? Cheers

I have recently brought a 0.51 D VS1 HCA 1.1 super ideal from jannpaul. Very nice service from them explaining and having the patient to go through probably close to 3.5 hours with me. I am now waiting for my scope and ring design rendering. Hehe
