Can I ask which is better super ideal or Solasfera

Solasfera seems to be hot now.. It's for those who wants a more "dazzling" diamond with lots and lots of sparkle. For me, I prefer the Super Ideal.. Maybe in the future when I upgrade, I'll get the solasfera.. haha

Snow is the gal serving you ? I agree their service is good.
I asked before Lovis, they do not have all those scopes for you to see, they asked you to buy based on the 4c's, HCA, and the cert specs

Not Snow, L**a

What do you think of the spec? I'm quite tempted to be frank been a layman

When JP this morning and was quoted

Solasfera
0.53 vs2 E $4800
0.53 vs1 E $5100

Is the pricing reasonable? Or I shd ask for a higher clarity

Hi All,

Enjoyed reading through hundred of pages and also sad see-ing the price has rise so much.

I would like to experience JP but sadly their operating time is abit tough for myself. I just went to Lovis and been a layman to diamond, their service is superb!

Here is a particular stone the lady try to sell me, opinion please?

0.44c / E / VS1 / 3Excellent Cut - 2k excluding setting

HCA score at 3.6 (GIA REPORT NUMBER 2156905075)

I did e-mail JP and the closest they can fit my budget would be Super Ideal Cut 0.41 G VS2 2.5k excluding setting.

HCA score 3.6 is very high.. This is most likely attributed by the longdepth 62.8%. The recommended depth is not to exceed 62%. Besides light leakages, too long will make it look smaller. Did you try comparing it to a better cut 0.3ct+? The long depth might make it look like a 0.3ct+ diamond instead.

Example of a steep deep diamond:

Reply to : 0.71c / F / VS1 / 3Excellent Cut / HCA 0.7

Hi Guys,

Need advice -> 0.71c / F / VS1 / 3Excellent Cut / HCA 0.7 = Total dmg 5.05k excluding setting

Good price?

Hey EvilPaladin,

Good HCA score with a 3EX cut!
Do think about it is worth it when pair with a F/VS1.

You can get a bigger carat diamond by not choosing a 3EX.
Alternatively, save a bit to get a specially customised ring.

Hi guys

Got quoted for these 3 Cushion diamonds:

0.94c / F / VS1 / Polish EX, Symmetry EX = $4800

0.82c / F / VS1 / Polish EX, Symmetry VG = $4200

0.71c / F / VS2 / Polish EX, Symmetry EX = $4100

Good price?

Haha no they are not. I've been to JP and their prices are definitely much higher. It's true they have good diamonds but doesn't mean you can't get good diamonds elsewhere too :) Just getting opinion on these diamonds :)

mind sharing where is the source bro ? :)

Hi everyone, Ive been lurking on this thread for the longest time and it’s now my turn to make a decision :) walk around many many stores looking for my diamond ring.. so far short listed jannpaul because they have the nicest diamonds....Im extremely fickle and feel bad visited 4 times already…

The problem Im facing now is which diamond I should get from them. They got so many diff cuts.

Super Ideal Cut (round)
Solasfera (round)
Brellia (cushion)
Octagon (self explanatory)
Octavia (squarish) but only 1 carat and so far never seen any comments about it before...hmm this look very different from the other diamonds need push budget up if getting a 1 ct…
please help me narrow down the good one to choose
so far i like the shape of cushion brellia the most.

but seems like a lot people going for solasfera...is it because is round so more people like it?

Only 1 i found within my budget that has good HCA score on Lovis

0.4C / F / VS1 / 3 EX / HCA 1.8 at 1.7k exclude setting

GIA: 1169140757

OR

0.53C / G / VS1 / 3 VG / HCA 2.3 at 2.4k exclude setting

GIA: 2146777358
