Ya, hope it doesn't affect overall design of the ring, but probably done in Malaysia as purposely go to Singapore for ring resize is a bit too much.

My gf doesn't mind a slightly lower quality diamond to compensate for a bigger carat size. Jp mainly sells ideal/super ideal diamonds only. At such, what other stores would be recommended other than the big chains? Have only checked out Jp and love & Co so far.

JP's Ideals are quite cheap already. Can go for G colour and VS2 and aim for those carat sizes just below pricing tiers (i.e. 0.49 instead of 0.51, 0.69 instead of 0.71)

After some extensive research on wedding bands, finally decided to get the rings from House of Hung. Customized my wedding band that I personally like it with Jann, great service as usual and my fiancee is impressed.

Looking forward for my ring to be ready!

A well cut diamond will look bigger visually tho... and also it really depends how big a stone her finger can take. You won't regret getting a well cut diamond. my 2 cents.

Cut is generally the most important when it comes to a diamond's brilliance. It would make a diamond look bigger than it its original size as well.

Colour and clarity can be reduced. But, cut is the last thing you want to adjust. But, if the cost is still high, then I guess cut would have to be sacrificed.

What does the gurus think of below?

Quoted $2.2k for super ideal 0.35 E VVS2 3 Ex Fluorescence is None.
Cut score is 100.
HCA is 0.9.

Is it fair price? Waiting for scopes and see if JP has newer stock for F and VS1 to upsize to 0.36/0.37.

Proportions not very good.. the HCA score is 2.4. Should try to find one below 1.4 and then use the ideal /aset / hearts and arrows scope to check.

I don't think you can see a 0.01ct difference le.. If go bigger, I think should go for 0.4ct+ to see the diff.

I assume yours is their Super ideal cut? It's hard to compare like that without knowing the cut quality. The cut can make a huge difference even though the other specs are the same

Y VVS2? U can save some $$ if u go for VS1 or VS2.
