Hi, just received my scopes. Would like some feedback if possible. Is there too much light leakages from the white spots? I'm a noob at judging these scopes so it'd be good to get some feedback. THanks!

Just met up with Isaac. Decided on side diamonds with halo. Awaiting the 3d rendering but it should look quite bling. So long as fiancée is happy. Almost got tempted by a .54ct D vvs2 solasfera but got pulled away by fiancée lol.

Halo with side will be super bling. And the diamond will look bigger with the halo. No point getting solasfera. Solasfera is better being on its own to fully show the sparkles. Ur fiancee is a rational woman haha

Yea it was pretty difficult to choose the setting, since we wanted to customise as well. In the end, we agreed to go with the halos to make it more bling.

Decision point was super ideal with halos or solasfera with plain settings. Price-wise, the solasfera commanded a premium of around $1.6k just for the stone, and my fiancée felt it was too much. Haha I even went ahead to get it until she stopped it. Diamond shopping is really not easy.

Question for those who have proposed overseas: where do you keep the ring? With you or in the hand carry?

Was thinking of how to keep it a surprise if I have to pass thru airport scanners. The platinum setting will surely trigger the alarm

I proposed overseas!
Kept it in my wallet and when walking pass the scanner thingy, i put everything in the tray. I will rather keep it with me.... feel safer like that haha

Haha. Gotta look for a wallet with a coin compartment then... Good idea to put it into wallet Haha. Was wondering how to keep it in the ring box,and seems like the solution is to think out of the box, no pun intended.

I kept it with me too, apparently, the ring won't trigger the sensor.

I used this slim box when I proposed earlier this year as it's much easier to camouflage.

Need to take a look at the scopes but just by your specs the deal looks ok. Jannpaul's diamond always have standard.

Can I ask if it's ok for me to ask for scopes even if I haven't paid any deposit yet?

And does JP gives any discount? My salesperson was very reluctant to give any discount at all so I didn't bother to give any deposit.

Am not too sure if you can ask for scopes without confirming the diamond. i was given a $50 discount when i bought my first diamond from them. Then i was given a discounted price on my new setting when i upgrade. Which salesperson did you speak to?

Out of them, I'll probably pick the 0.9 D VS1. The 0.8 D VVS1 around the same price and I doubt you can see VVS1 and VS1 diff.

Will the ring activate the scanner sensor when you pass through? Planning for an overseas proposal too. Don't want the security to pull out the ring and spoil the surprise.
