Wow wow! gorgeous!!!! Super bling!!!! How much does the setting cost? The halo makes the diamond look like 1 carat haha

I just got my ring as well.,Is a halo design. Really very bling! I think the setting is 1100 or 1200 on top of the diamond price

Sent from Samsung SM-N920I using GAGT

Cost is around 1.6k cos we are going for platinum setting. My gf likes the halo and wanted to spend extra on settings while my preference is to get a bigger rock and spend less on settings, given the same budget.

But well, her ring, her choice. So long as she's happy, I am too. Happy wife, happy life lol. :D

Hahahaha, if she likes the bling she will love Halo, since she is not intending to upgrade in future, I would also suggest her to go for Halo. I remember you wanted to have an increase of $1k budget but the difference in the specs are quite mild right.

Hi Lynn, yes you remembered correctly Haha. My other alternative was to go for a 0.53ct solasfera D vs2 at $6700 with white gold setting but that was thrown out of the door cos she said too ex.

$6.7k can get a bigger carat from the Super Ideal Series. Your gf is a very rational woman haha.

Yea in the end we stuck to our original 0.57ct G vs1 super ideal with this setting. Most likely costing around 6-6.1k

Good enough already =) The bling effect is really astounding! Too bad I don't have the courage to go Halo.

Hahaha, I told her, as long as she's happy and no regrets. For me, daily wear it's better to go for plain setting. For my gf, I think she's going to wear it but not daily, hence I also advised her to go for the halo to make the diamond look bigger

Yeah, if she is not intending to upgrade in future, Halo is a wise choice

Thanks for the assurance. She's usually don't wear rings so I wasn't sure if it will be too big for her. I noticed most of her friends diamond rings are 0.3-0.5ct.

They have videos on different diamond sizes on the hand. If you're shopping with your gf, they have a ring clip to hold the diamond to try on her hand.

Other factors to consider is the,
+ setting design
Some designs can make the diamond look much bigger.. like the halo
+ finger size
Small fingers will make the diamond look bigger
+ the Cut
Better Cut diamonds will be wider and therefore bigger. But since it's from JP, their Cut is all top already.

You can check out Jannpaul as one of your option for diamond shopping. $7k can get you at least 0.6 but below 0.7 carat diamond with plain settings.

If you are getting normal settings, the ring will be ready in 4 weeks time. If you are customising. it will take atleast 4weeks depending on your changes etc.
