I will check out their G colour.

By the way, does anyone know how much does 1ct costs? Do you think it is worth to up the carat to 1ct?

I believe the jump from 0.9 to 1CT might be around 1500-2000~ more.

Worth or not worth really depends on individual and if you want the diamond to be a full carat or how does your partner feels about spending over 10 grands on a ring.

I do know girls who would love a carat but also girls who doesn't want any engagement ring, I think you yourself should know your partner best and make the judgement on the size yourself :)

I realize most only share price of their diamond. How much did everyone paid for their settings? Custom settings = more expensive?

For JP, it depends on the material used and how big/thick the ring is, if you customise a simple design without much extra gold, the price is actually the same as classic design that's not customised

Hi All,

Does anyone have an idea if a budget of 2000-2500 can buy an engagement ring in JannPaul with these specs in mind:
-white gold ring band
-0.3-0.4 carat
-ideal
-color: D-F

I've tried emailing JannPaul's sales email but I didn't receive any response yet.

Appreciate the help.

I googled and saw only aj jewellery and some lucky plaza shop.

This is mine just FYR:
0.44 ct / E/ VS1
Super ideal cut

Diamond @ $2950, simple (not customised) 18k white gold setting @ $550.

Maybe below 0.4ct is possible though, was given a few different specs for 0.41ct, I remember the cheapest one was around $2.4-2.5k, so I believe 0.3x carat may be able to hit your budget range.

It's still better to consult JannPaul directly, believe they will advise the best within your budget.

Trust me, if you're getting from Jannpaul, the G color is good enough already. Their diamonds are Super ideal cuts that are cut to have the best light return which means the diamond will be very bright.

You see in this video can see a big diff anot. lol

Also, diamonds can have different hues too. Make sure that the diamond you get has NO HUE. Jannpaul filters them out already but best is to be sure.

Meyson wedding band, meh :(

So ... looked down at my wedding band today and realised got one lobang.

GPGT (*sad face): http://imgur.com/a/AuG2g

Band was purchased in March, but hubby and I only exchanged vows and rings in June leh. So this is the second month of me wearing it daily -- and I don't even do very "rough" things. Sian. I know I paid a budget price at Meyson but didn't think it would be this soon before something happened to it :(

Will drop by their shop to see if they will fix it (and hope they don't charge me) but before that I come and whine and post on HWZ first :p

Agree on the colour! Hardly find it "yellow" even for G.

oh no! so sorry to hear that :( crossing my fingers for you that they will fix it for you foc. They should though! Even if you've been wearing since March (which you didn't!) 5 months is way too short for something like this to happen..

Hi guys diamond noob here. Planning to get a ring budget around 4k-5k. Recently visited Michael Trio and their prices seem good. Anyone got reviews of this place?

Also it seems JannPaul is the choice for many here, so will go ahead and check that out as well. Any other recommendations?

Thanks a lot!

Micheal Trio doesn't sell Super Ideal cuts. They don't use the ASET scope and I was told that it wasn't "accurate" and the GIA cert was enough already. Lol

If you want Super Ideal cuts, then it's JannPaul. If you want normal cuts, a lot of places will sell them. Look around and compare la.
