Agree on the colour! Hardly find it "yellow" even for G.

Yeah. I've seen my G color diamond to be whiter than my friend's E color before. Thats why you should focus on the Cut as the priority. You get a D color but the Cut not good also no use.

Is the girdle thickness important? Is there any ideal thickness?

Get the in-between thickness.

Though you should still use the ASET scope to check too. The girdle thickness is also related to the light performance - painting/digging girdles.

Micheal Trio doesn't sell Super Ideal cuts. They don't use the ASET scope and I was told that it wasn't "accurate" and the GIA cert was enough already. Lol

If you want Super Ideal cuts, then it's JannPaul. If you want normal cuts, a lot of places will sell them. Look around and compare la.

HCA is useful but not 100% reliable. You should only use it to check if the diamond HCA score is under 1.4 to reject the lousy ones. After that you need to use the scopes. Lousy diamonds can still have good scores.

The price depends also on the amount of gold needed, not just whether the setting is simple or not.

2 settings of same design, one thicker and the other one thinner, of course will have a bit of price difference mah
