I think they will not be that obvious from eye level?
But since u r the one wearing it and u r bothered by it then u shud change it. Do it while u still can. I think not all guys are meticulous or bothered about such details afterall you will be the one looking at it Everyday.

I personally also do think it looks weird with the lines.
Well, they replied that the renderings are zoomed in so the spaces are obvious but if look from far, due to the reflective nature of the white gold, it wouldn't be so obvious.

Didn't realize how choosing a setting is so difficult :(

Thanks for this! Didn't know the settings had names :x hahaha shall have a look around for some inspiration lol. May I ask, which is your personal favorite? :)

She likes the scallop setting like this:

If it was up to me I probably would have gotten channel:

But I proposed with loose diamond then let her totally design the ring herself :s13:

I think yes, from far and to other people not obvious, but on your finger you will bio it every so often and it might be obvious to you. If see picture can't really tell, just go to the shop or other shops and ask to see many many eternity settings so you can see in person what type you like. Then refer to the diagram so you know the name and can describe to your designer.

Plain wedding band around 500-600 odd, half eternity is around 1100+ IIRC. Depends on amount of gold and number/size of melee diamonds

can any expert advise on VS2 vs SI2?
if both is 3 excellence , side by side compare and below table hide away the hide, same shinning/bright, why?

That is to do with the inclusions like the dot dot particles in the diamond. I won't go below VS2 though. If the inclusion is bad and near the edge, your diamond can chip when impacted. Long term wise, VS2 will be safer.

the dot dot particles if really small n "good" enuff, will not affect the brightness/brilliance of the diamond?
like i go janpaul, they do show me a ideal cut vs super ideal cut, which under scope i cant see any diff, even their staff mistaken after that, only by going thru the serial number then they can differentiate the diamonds.

Hi fellas - Got a quote for 0.54 ct E vs1 for 4.2k and a 0.53 ct E vs2 for 4.1k. Both SI cuts. I'm thinking it's probably worth the $100 extra to get a slightlyyyy larger diamond with a better clarity? Although I know that you can't tell the difference between a vs1 and vs2 with your naked eye. Scopes generally good for both diamonds. Grateful for any thoughts, thanks!

0.01 carat is not visibly larger and the vs2 should be sufficiently eye clean, save the $100 and use that for the setting?

Yeah, it won't affect the brilliance at all when its very small. Another type to look out for is those cloudy inclusions. If you can't see it, then it confirm won't affect the diamond. The brilliance and brightness is to do with the Cut.

Help on engagement ring recommendations

Hi looking for engagement ring with budget of about $3.5k. Have an appointment with JannPaul set up end of the month. Looking online at Michael Trio website and see that can get 0.51ct with side diamonds on the band for about my budget. Anyone has experience with Michael Trio online shop? Is it reliable and good? Hoping to buy about 0.51ct ring.

With your budget, it only matches my ring from JP of 0.44 D VS2 with plain settings.
