Hi Guys and Diamond masters!

Been a long time lurker and follower of this thread and I've learned so much from you guys too!. I just got the actual images for the 0.34ct F VVS2 diamond quoted at $1950 from JP. Can you please tell me you're thoughts about the renders please? Do you think it's worth it or do you think it's also worth it to get a 0.5x ct "ideal" cut. That's as high as my budget could allow for now since I'll be financing the bulk of the wedding too. My GF not so picky about diamond size as long as it's blingy and customized setting for her, but she's the love of my life so I oso want to give her the best I can give. So your thoughts please?

If it’s AGS or GIA surface graining not shown is fine. Surface graining are grain lines or faint lines caused post polishing usually because of irregular crystal growth. Imagine the molecules of the diamond growing in from left to right, but a certain part grows in an opposite direction. Then when polished it forms lines seen under 20+ magnification. You should be worried if it’s SI or below or some lesser known cert as it can cause cloudiness or a change in refraction of light.

Uploaded for you. Do you mean the diamond scopes? I dont see any renders in the album. If you want the best and blingy, I'd stick with the SIC. Don't sacrifice on quality for the size.

JP showed a larger diamond against a smaller SIC at the ending half in this video. Although its a 1ct size, the same logic applies to a .3 too. The most important factor is the bling and not just the size.

If it’s high then it’s fine if it’s from AGS/GIA, practically impossible to see: but they still have to state it.

I would pick the 0.5+ct ideal cut
Here u have a 0.34c but with a 55% table. While it has great fire, it’s making a small stone look smaller.
But entirely up to u....

Wow thanks a lot for uploading my scopes goglenngoh! And thanks Miltah for your input! What for you is an ideal table percentage? I compared this 0.34ct SIC to another 0.41 ct SIC and honestly i did not find that big of a difference. I'm just not sure whether jumping to 0.5x "Idea" ct is worth it.

Now what about the symmetry of the scopes I uploaded, does it have issues for you? I know quite a bit about the Super Ideal Cut standards already but sometimes you guys have more keen eyes about symmetry and small issues and such

Ask to compare 2 stones. Same size
One with 55% the other with 57-58% table.
Tell me if u see a difference.

Collected our ring from Jannpaul and very happy with it! After much wait, the final ring looks perfect. Diamond is super stunning and the gf absolutely loves her ring. We went to shop together and was given the diamond education by Eugene, then our follow up appointments was with Casey as Eugene was on leave. Great service by them and we later realised that Casey was the one that does their youtube videos online. Very lucky to have met him by chance.

Took a video of the ring in the store while collecting our ring. The diamond is extremely sparkly. The sparkles was like shooting left right centre everywhere. lol

The gf / now fiance wore the ring immediately after collection. Took some photos and videos outside their store. Even without the strong shop lights, the diamond was very colorful and bright outside.

This is a close up photo of the ring taken at home. I used a led torchlight to to shine on the ring for this shot.

We reserved their cushion brellia with them too to customise a pendant design. Can't wait to see what they come up with for me

hi shifus, i plan to propose Q3 this year. went down to JP couple of times and finally made deposit for a SIC 0.74ct VS2 G for $6500. AGS 104109882007. I'm only concern that the table is at 55.3%, is that something to be worried about?

I have not gotten the scope yet but was wondering if its a reasonable price and in line with what others pay?

I want to rant abit. Having heard so much good reviews about jp I must say that I'm slightly disappointed. After downpayment was made for the rock, they do not seem to be interested anymore. I followed up via WhatsApp with my gf ring rize and some questions on the ring details as well as requesting for the scopes but have not gotten a reply for 4 days.

Before payment I asked if the scope would be sent and the sales person said yes but no news till now and they do not even reply my text with a holding message or something. I do have to say before deposit was made service was excellent with fast replies on my queries.

Anyone experience this kinda service from Jannpaul before?

replies have been prompt and timely for me, even after I placed my deposit

no reason for them to ghost on us after deposit either, since the deposit amount is small compared to the owed payment

I donno why I got ghosted also. My request is basically only to get the scope and to have some slight change to not want meelee diamonds on the ring. Nothing crazy. May I know who served you?
