$6k.

I saw a Tiffany ring going for $5,950. 0.39 carat. In terms of gem quality, quite average. I think it was VS1, G. May be 1 grade higher than that. Means i can get the same ring for $2k+ from JP?

Tiffany is really just all about marketing and branding. For 6K you can get a much better quality and probably double the diamond size for a Super Ideal Cut or White Series. I mean it's depending on you or maybe your girlfriend's preferences but at the end of the day when you see a diamond ring, it's all about the sparkles man. No one can tell where you bought the ring from.

0.5 I Color, IF Clarity for $8.6k is very high le. It's really for that teal ring box sia. Tbh, I don't even know if someone is wearing a Tiffany ring or not in public. No one can tell the branding on a ring. They can only see how sparkly the rock is.

For reference, my Decagon 0.5ct, E-F Color, VVS2-VS1 Clarity is only 4k. Summore the cut is much better than the usual 57 facets rounds.

JP just did a 1ct Decagon unboxing video. I wonder if its from anyone's ring here?

Wah.. thinking if I should upgrade my wife's ring now. The decagon looks amazing. Any idea how much a 1ct would cost?

I know the SIC 0.7cts G VS grades are already 6k+. Yours is internally flawless and a decagon. The price sounds abt right.

The HCA can only be applied on the usual 57 facets round shapes. It won't work on the other cuts. You can check the scopes to see the light return and symmetry. It's more accurate that the HCA anyway. You got the scopes for it? Very curious to see.

Girdle is ok. Normal for it to be varied thickness for the fancy shapes.

Just received my scopes from JP! Would appreciate your input!

Collected my ring from JP!! Thank you for all the inputs from the bros here.
I opened the ring box outside and took some shots :)

The diamond is a Decagon 0.61 carat G VS1. I must say, the diamond looks really damn white man. The face up of the diamond is very white. I can't imagine how whiter those higher D-E colors will be. As a layman, if you tell me mine is a D color I also believe. Summore I took the photos in a non-bright and no sun area.

The small diamonds on the ring are Decagons too! They're very small and tiny. Can't really tell the shape of it when its so small, but they are very bright and shiny too. I used the scope thing they gave with the box and can see the 10 small arrows on them too.

Everything turned out much better than I expected. Even the ring box is very well made. It's quite heavy and have a nice weight to it. Feels very solid. Overall product and service, 10/10. If I can rate them even higher, I would. Im sure all the JP diamond specialists are equally good. If you want to book one in advance, you can find Avery. She served me and was constantly replying my whatsapp even pass midnight and on weekends. You can just feel how passionate they are in what they do.

does anyone know a good place to get a sapphire engagement ring? Checked around but most stores don't have a good stock of sapphires gems.

Hi, is the white series worth it? How much more expensive is it compared to the SIC?

u need go and see if u prefer smaller and more sparkles or bigger but less sparkles.

personally felt that the small sparkles looked abit like those small diamonds combine together into 1 so went with SIC instead.

Hi, is the white series worth it? How much more expensive is it compared to the SIC?

For reference, i was quoted JP SIC 0.51 E VS2 $3,600 whereas their white series round 0.51-0.55 F-G VVS2-VS2 is at $4,200 - $4,600. about 15% more expensive.

Visually to my untrained eyes, you can easily tell the SIC and the white series apart. Which is why i went for the white series eventually (a smaller carat size of 0.45-0.49 though).

It depends. If you go for the oval white series, it's cheaper than the round sic.

The white series cushion and oval is cheaper than the SIC round (forgot by how much) and White series round and decagon is 5-10% more.

They explained the decagon pricing at the 35:19 mark

Hi, would love to hear some comments on this white series round diamond please! Waiting for the scope images though. Quoted S$3.7k

One thing I'm concerned about is the 57.7% table. Is this quite large?

Waiting for the scope images for now

Thanks in advance!

Congrats! Is that your diamond?
The table is ok. Bigger table will make the diamond look bigger too. Though it still ultimately depends on the scope images and what it shows. The usual proportions for the 57 facets wont apply to these modified cuts. They are meant to have a different set of ideal proportions.

I was served by Paul before 7 years ago. Time really flies.. For anyone starting, it’s a very technical video. Watch the older ones on the basics because he is extremely technical. If you’ve already learnt the aset tool hna assessment and the 4cs in general it’s a very good insight video.

Thanks!

Thinking of getting this diamond for the engagement ring. It does look as big as a 0.53ct one

Will share the scope images once I have them.
